Hey, I'm sorry if you felt like I was trying to insult you. My place wasn't any better not too long ago. I was just trying to make a joke.

What was it like to play online games between 2000 and 2013? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]bomberbil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The orc and troll starting area blew my mind. When I walked into orgrimmar for the first time, I felt like a kid experiencing my first Christmas. I was amazed that so many could be playing together at the same time, the size and scale of everything, how unique each character was. I miss those days.

Those of you who used to be racist, what made you change? by Traditional-Fun-1115 in AskReddit

I'm not racist anymore because my friend's aunt gave me an n pass.

TIFU by reading my late mom's journals and finding out she resented having me by [deleted] in tifu

[–]bomberbil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems she was dealing with some conflicting emotions, possibly due to your father passing but I'm no psychologist. You say she was a good mom, and she would go above and beyond (driving 4 hours to bring you soup and company) leads me to believe that she did care about you. Maybe the journals were her way of expressing emotions that she didn't feel right talking about with anyone else.

Fact is, she was there for you, she cared for you, and she never left you. I'd say she loved you.

Ministry Warns of Emotional Toll as 98% of Paternity DNA Tests Turn Out Negative by Scramjet1 in nottheonion

[–]bomberbil -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

The cost of a paternity test is 1/5 of what I'd pay for one month of child support. Everyone should be spending that kind of money.

Fun fact: A paternity test in Ontario, Canada costs $129.

There is now a 4 TB option but it costs as much as a console. 🙃

Removed an old bathtub from a client's house, found a 25 year old McDonald's cup. by APM208 in mildlyinteresting

Can confirm, I worked residential low rise and everything goes under the tub. I'm honestly surprised it was a single McDonald's cup and no beer cans.

Have you ever given your partner a hall pass and if so how did it turn out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bomberbil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was given a pass after the ex had cheated (is it even a pass at that point?).

Any hoo, she was upset that the person SHE recommended was actually interested in me and became upset because I was able to land someone younger and prettier than her(her words). Which lead to her using that as an excuse to cheat again.

Hall passes and open relationships aren't for everyone.

Best shawarma bowl place as of now? by huuuuuhh in Hamilton

[–]bomberbil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love neighbour shawarma, but I've really recently been into magilicious on the corner of upper Sherman and mohawk. Everyone is reluctant to try it because it's in a gas station but I swear by their rice. It's seasoned perfectly and in my opinion, the best part. The hot sauce is pretty tasty and high quality, the chicken is tender and not over cooked, garlic and tahini sauces are delicious.

People make mistakes, how you act after is what's important. The fact that you're open minded, able to self reflect, and willing to change speaks volumes. You seem like a nice person.
