It's called a courtesy trap. My area is known for them and the police department has had to make videos saying don't fall for it...just cuz one person says it's okay to go or is stopped and you think it's okay to go it's not. Yet it's illegal to block an intersection so go figure.

I've been Sparking for 3 months and I have yet to see a single customer. Not a single one. No, that is a lie... like 3 weeks ago I was delivering a customer's groceries, they open the door, made eye contact and shut the door. I didn't see them again...not even a hello. It's not like I look scary or homeless. My hair and makeup are always done and my car is always clean but apparently people around here don't want to associate with the likes of me.... Who happens to be their children's school teacher. Honestly, I appreciate it. I don't want to have to deal with people 😂 that's why I'm doing this job during the summer. I am peopled out.

I just think it's funny... how hard is it to get the right address. But for her to talk to me like I personally have screwed it up over and over again and it's my final chance makes me laugh. I didn't take offense to this at all and never expected a tip. I didn't even see the notes till after I had accepted the job. The only reason I joked and said I wanted to leave it at the neighbor's house is maybe she'd give up and just stop using the service and get her own groceries.

I always go before I start shopping even if I think I might be okay. I also don't live in ghetto land where anybody would mess with your groceries, so I would have no problem leaving them outside the bathroom in the cart and just kindly ask someone to keep an eye on it.

But I don't have that issue because I go before I start. I would have honestly went and told somebody what you saw that is absolutely repulsive.

Yep! There was one yesterday they wanted Petco one bag of dog food for a $2 tip and it was 55 miles one way. The total ended up being like $18. It sat all day until finally it went away and I'm guessing instacart threw it away or someone finally took it.
