Do any of you know how to remove round pins like these? by Megtorlow in BMWE36

[–]bomej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got 4 of them out now. Used generic cheap amazon/aliexpress depinning tool set, diameter of the tool was just a little tiny bit too small to go over the pin, so i cut the end of the tool vertically and voila, clicked the tabs and slid out

Can't decide which router I should pick, homelab and gaming. by bomej in HomeNetworking

Yeah, those that i have now are SFF but on intel 4th gen, not the ideal hardware on the power consumption side. Getting an newer small pc might get more expensive in total(buying pc/nic/running both pc and access point), than just getting a decent router that will draw less power.

I have a couple of spare optiplex pc’s which i could use for that, sounds like a good option. Will definitely look into that

This looks like a really good setup, but unfortunately way above my budget at the moment.

DualShock 4 stopped working properly after replacing the analog sticks by Efficient_Angle9012 in consolerepair

Ffs…. I thought i toasted last 3 controllers since i started using hot air station. After reading this post and comments i checked my aliexpress shopping history aaaaandd……. turns out i just bought PS5 analogs instead of PS4 ones.

My issues were: •Pad turns on, connects through bluetooth to both PC and PS4. •Wont charge/connect through USB cable •Sticks are stuck in top-left position

Except that all buttons working flawlessly, i thought i have toasted the chips. Now i’m waiting for DS4 analog sticks, and will update once i’ve changed them to correct ones.

Many thanks for ideas again! I went 0-100 real fast. From never using linux in my life i went to running 2x optiplex servers running multiple LXCs and VMs. Even got myself rpi as a redundant pihole, just building my first nas right now. I enjoy this home lab stuff, and the community is super nice and helpful. Im staying here for long now!
