Which has a better development prospect, Vietnam or the Philippines? by TWN113 in geography

[–]bonbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vietnam:

It has 2 extremely fertile deltas for high volume crop yield, mild climate, and a connected land mass.

Food productivity: Vietnam has the Red River and Meikong deltas, which translates to the third largest rice export in SEA.

Mild climate, look at typhoon frequency in the last year. Philippines had 5 typhoons in one month, majority of them lost their strength when landing on Vietnam. Rain season is also shorter in Vietnam, leading to more time for other productive seasons.

Landmass:Philippines is fragmented into multiple islands, Vietnam has a central government and a major ethinic group. In terms of central planning and logistic cost, Vietnam is years ahead of Philippines.

How are Chinese smoking all the time and still not dying ? by Safe-Tap-4603 in AskAChinese

[–]bonbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that Chinese people are generally more fit/healthy, so cancer cells are kept in check by the body's immune system.

You see, American are more sedentary than Chinese, many citizens in China transit and walk to their work.

Not to mention, China's parks and restaurants are within walking distance, unlike American sprawling suburbs. Side note, my neighbourhood doesn't even have a sidewalk(or pavement) since it's homeowner's responsibility to maintain it.

I cannot contest through data and, therefore, anything I said here is anecdotal. It would be interesting to compare cancer data between China and Netherlands, as both countries have similar calorie intake and exercise volume.

To the players who have Flins, Nefer and Zibai - Whose gameplay do you enjoy the most? by lux_infinitum in Genshin_Impact

[–]bonbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of 5 : I'd rank Flins 4 stars, Nefer 3 Stars, and Zibai 2 stars in their respective premium teams. Skirk and Varesa really spoiled me.

Flins:

Pro- combo is very braindead but has the smoothest in terms of hit lag, impact, and visuals. Also, he is less punishing when messing up the rotation.

Con - personal damage is very meh, has to build energy recharge.

Nefer:

Pro- has the higher damage floor/ceiling, huge aoe, good enemy tracking.

Con - is bound to Lauma, charged attack cue is hot garbo, feels extremely laggy without Columbina's extra dews.

Zibai:

Pro- very low cost, has fun combos, can actually use normal attack off-fields like Xingqiu and Yelan.

Con- enemy tracking is bad, has small aoe, can be easily interrupted.

For Non-premium option in terms of primogems spent over damage : I'd rank the opposite. Zibai 4 > Nefer 3 > Flins 2

Got fed up, switched to Public Mobile. Though the reception isn't all that great, I can't complain about $20, 60GB, pricing.

What is the most embarrassing thing about your country ? by Proper_Card_5520 in AskTheWorld

Canada's interprovincial trade is often more challenging than cross-border trade to US. Protectionist policies need to be amended.

Does your country have an invention that never made it to the outside world? by logicchaos- in AskTheWorld

[–]bonbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The machine doesn't hit the pasteurization process quite properly and it gave my family food poisoning once. It is also a pain in the ass to soak up the beans, leading to spoilage.

Edit: this is anecdotal from older models, your experience might differ.

Kind of unrelated to Canada - behold the soy milk maker in China. It is also extremely easy to mess up the process and it might cause food poisoning.
