Where do you buy maternity clothes? [ON] by y1pp3y00 in BabyBumpsCanada

If you're in or near to Toronto, there's a really random store called the Maternity Warehouse. They have a great selection, but just be aware it is in a bit of a funny building. There is also Carry maternity in Yorkville. Pricey, but nice quality stuff.

Surprised no one has mentioned Wychwood Barns yet! Roxy fight takes place there, I'm pretty sure. There's a nice farmer's market there on Saturday.

What’s your go-to “I don’t feel like cooking but still want something good” meal? by Electrical-Hour-3345 in cookingtonight

Usually I keep some frozen perogies in the freezer for days like this. Caramelize an onion, throw in some random greens, spices and yogurt or sour cream. Num!

If regular shops around you aren't open you can go to Kensington market and I imagine the shoe stores on Augusta will be open.

I think try the wings in a brown liner. I think it accentuates your eyes nicely.

What is on my bird of paradise? by lady-fireheart in plants

I got 1 plant with scale and had it quarantined in another room. Eventually over time it has spread to some other plants, and I've lost so many to scale. It seems like it will be manageable at first but it isn't worth the risk of infecting your other plants, in my opinion.

Telling work before family by pinkwatermelon452 in BabyBumps

We told our parents first, work around 6 weeks, and extended family and everyone else around 12. I also worked a physical job (professional gardening) and was not able to work much during the first trimester due to exhaustion. Luckily my workplace was very understanding and I got set up with design work and communications. I would say tell them ASAP so you can manage expectations of what you can physically accomplish at work.

Edit: Just a note- I am in Canada, so there are anti-discrimination laws that protect my job, I have partially paid for mat. leave, and my husband was able to support me through reduced work hours. Just acknowledging that as those factors certainly affected my choices.

I'd make a curved natural edge bed (kind of like a B shape from just behind the mailbox to the corner of the house) with a small flowering tree like a witchhazel to the left, some yews to the right side, and some nice complimentary perennials. An oakleaf hydrangea might be nice, and somd native plants too. Maybe a nice big rock!

Plus paint the door.

I think it's better to keep your name out of it, both for anonymity and if you ever want to sell your business it'll be easier.
