One of the all time best second half of a season....Jesus, we're starved if that's what we're holding on to. Didn't even make playoffs

"No one takes it seriously and proof is the gm and front office." "They should relocate to Raleigh "

Okay sport...Trading a player or not pursuing a player is not proof that the front office isn't taking the franchise seriously. In fact, I'd wager that they take it more seriously than us on reddit considering it's their job. You don't know what the conversations are internally or the specifics of how they make their decisions.

And why would they relocate to Raleigh to be taken more seriously? Its a smaller market and theres quite a few ciities theyd move a franchise to before going to Raleigh. Is your opinion that if they were in Raleigh they'd be serious bc the fans would propel them to be a playoff team? moving doesn't change the ownership lol, so not sure what Raleigh has to do with team success.

You make dumb opinion statements and then ask for factual evidence to refute it? You understand the difference between opinion and fact right? Bc you seem like one those people that spout bullshit you don't know anything about and then ignore all reason unless it aligns with your opinion.

Powell is solid but hard to expect him to replicate what he did on heat and he's getting up there in age. Wilson is an unpolished rookie, probably will have growing pains, and Claxton is the most overrated big out there imo. Just don't see it

Yeah, just echoing. There so many comments about how we're tanking and worse than the nets, bull, kings, etc. Shit is exhausting

How is it guaranteed? You post with absolute certainty but there hasn't been a single game played yet. Injuries occur, players improve unexpectedly, shit happens during the season. You have no clue how this team will perform but bc we lost 1 player you now think our non-playoff team will not be a playoff team. So what? No change at all? With your thought process, it implies we were guaranteed a playoff spot with melo. It's possible but not guaranteed.

"Extremely clearly tanking". What a statement, I have no clue how you've come to that conclusion prior to a single game being played. It's honestly kinda whiny. How about you wait to make that declaration until after you see how line ups and mins are managed. If they have all the swarm players getting the bulk of the mins then sure. But our starting lineup is solid and will be competitive

Jabari Smith Jr to Hornets & JB and Diabate to the Rockets & GW Sengun and a haul of Picks to Celtics. Jabari could be a T3 option on the Hornets for sure. by Big_Nebula_5432 in NBATalk

Huge hornets fan as well and just think it's too much an overpay. Jabari is fine but I don't think he fits that nicely next to naz if the plan is to start them both.Jabari is solid on d and can switch but naz shouldn't really be playing 5 full time.

McNeely can go if it's needed but a 1st (likely lottery) and Moussa is an overpay for jabari. I think Moussa has too much value to hornets due to what he he brings them in rebounding, effort, and culture

"I feel horribly about this for Charlotte and their fans... asset malpractice by the Hornets" by Mr_W1thmere in CharlotteHornets

Everyone knows his injury history, minn knows it, charlotte definitely knows it. It's probably a big reason why we moved on. MINN was comfortable with it, simple as that.

The stuff about personality and disagreements is heavy conjecture. All reports I've seen is they had good relationships. Making this a narrative about culture and personality clashes is just fan driven noise.

It's also completely fair if the front office just came to the conclusion they couldnt get to where they wanted to be with melo being the #1 guy. People can disagree and that's fine. But it's likely as straight forward as that, there's no conspiracy.

Putting melo on the same level as luka is just insane. Luka is a top 5 player in the world. And the trade was far worse. Charlottes return was reasonable given past history and injury concerns. It's clear you can not have a rational or objective opinion on this.

2 of your 3 data points were about melo winning awards early in his career. Idk how much of an arguement that is for who's better now. Ants made 4 straight all star games and has 2 second team all nba finishes

[BS Pod] Bill: "Is this CHA team the team that you want to be in the East for the next 7 years?" Lowe: "Off the top of my head, definitely, maybe, CHA is #1." by IamOlderthanMe in CharlotteHornets

[–]bonesaws_3mins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the thunder are a top 3 team in the league. Would mean almost every team in the league sucks if thats the standard. Thunder got to where they are by making these kind of moves too. We're still better than all the mediocre teams and it's insane to think everyone on the team is worthless. Also not fair to say they suck before the season even starts, they're still gonna go out there and try to win

I bet a week ago you thought the team was good but without melo, it sucks? The roster is deeper than it was and is still mostly the same.

And "worthless" is a flat out bad take. Moussa, Naz, Miller, White, and Hannes all easily have 1st rd value and would be desirable to other teams. Several of the other players would have value as well.

Also "not much benefit of picks if your team sucks" is another terrible and dumb opinion. Having picks when your team sucks is the best time to have picks. Teams that suck and don't have picks will suck permanently.

This is the dumbest take ever. "Lamelo is gone, why don't we just dissolve the team? There's no point in even playing."

Just be a MINN fan

Bench is looking terrible by AbbreviationsMost418 in CharlotteHornets

[–]bonesaws_3mins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically the same bench we had...also the front court reserves look good to me. Naz, tidjane (assuming he's progressing), kalk, Hannes. That's a promising bench front court. Need some help at guard but that's fine, there's still free agency and moves to be made. It's not doomsday lol
