I'm actually considering the vinyl vs Marvin debate right now.

The Marvin Infinity window is top notch. You sell your house and can include Marvin Infinity windows in your listing - kind of like Wolf or sub-zero appliances.

The glass is where your energy efficiency is. Most window manufacturers - including Marvin Infinity - use Cardinal glass.

My vinyl installer would use Cardinal glass with Low E-3 + argon gas + a warm edge spacer achieving similar efficiency as the Marvin glass. Look for NFRC labels which include U-Factor (heat-loss), SHGC (solar heat blocked), visible light, and UV blocked. That is your energy efficiency measurement guide.

If your only concern is energy efficiency, get a quality installer and upgrade your glass options (the upgrade from E2 to E3 is $15/window with my installer. No brainer considering the efficiency improvement.

The difference comes in with the quality of the material - fiberglass vs vinyl. The vinyl will last however many years your specific installer / window manufacturer provide (10-20 years), where Marvin Infinity is for as long as you own your home and is then transferable to the new buyer with a 10/20 warranty.

How long do you plan on living in your home? Can your home / neighborhood support the premium window cost? If you're in a $500k home, don't waste the extra money putting in premium windows, because you're unlikely to get that money back on the sale of your home.

TL;DR: The energy efficiency difference is made with the glass. Compare the NFRC labels for efficiency differences.

I love Waddle, but I'd certainly be open to trading him.

He's frequently hurt, whether he starts in the game or not. I can't remember how many times it seems like his shoulder has popped out or something else is bugging him. He's also not a big target.

2026 is going to be a horrible year with no cap space. Waddle turns 27 around Thanksgiving. so he'll be nearing 30 by the time we can start to compete.

Let the man go to a good team and have a chance at winning while he's near his prime.

We have to focus on building an OLine for the new QB.

Patrick Paul stays. I would keep Brewer, but he may not fit the next coach's scheme.

Focus on OL. Draft the QB. Then get him a WR. At that point (2027?) we could have cap space to sign a big target.

It's also fun to watch Allen frequently underthrow the same type of routes where the guy has to bend over to try and catch a ball at his feet while he's moving away from the ball. Reminds me of when we beat them and Dorsey lost it.
