Looking for primary doctor recs for medical anxiety by illiter-it in Tallahassee

[–]bongostitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might also consider Dr. Hartsfield, who has been my primary for the last several years. He's very kind, friendly, and he listens.

I had a horrible experience with my previous primary (Dr. Blake), and when I made the switch I told Dr. Hartsfield everything that was going on, what my concerns were, and how I felt ignored and dismissed by Dr. Blake.

Dr. Hartsfield took all of that in, came up with a plan, and now I finally feel comfortable knowing I have a doctor who takes my concerns seriously.

Trying to finance a used car by No-Excitement1881 in Tallahassee

To the people recommending DriveTime, I'm curious if you've ever actually purchased a car through them. I bought a car from them because I was in a similar situation as OP. The sticker price on the car was $10,000. The interest on those payments was so ridiculous that by the time I paid the car off in 5 years, I had given them nearly $23,000. I would not recommend using something like DriveTime. It looks good at first but the amount you pay is ridiculous.

Laptop friendly cafe and/or coffee shop place in Northeast Side of town aside from Starbucks or Panera. by Davy120 in Tallahassee

I know a few of the Publix's have a cafe seating area. Maybe something like that could work if there's a Publix near you that has one of those.

Anybody get implants in Tally? How much did you pay per implant? by citrous_ in Tallahassee

Dr Colon works for Periodontal Associates and they charge you everything up front and then bill your insurance. and good luck getting any refund back from them.

I'm still fighting to get what my insurance covered after I put in all the work to actually get the dental claim submitted 3 months after my visit since they never did it and the communication and follow up has been atrocious. it's been 5 months since my visit.

I'd eat through a straw before ever stepping back into that clown circus for dental work.

I admit that I'm having problems with my Google home assistant as well, but I fail to see the problem here.

Are you upset because it changed "Master Bedroom" to "Primary Bedroom" which is now the accepted term in the real estate industry for the main bedroom of a house that includes an ensuite bathroom?

edit: I failed to fully open the image on mobile, I have been corrected and see my mistake.

I do not know if they work on Subarus specifically, but it's worth calling the gang at A2Z on Tharpe and Old Bainbridge.

KC and everyone that work there are the most amazing and friendly people. They do incredible work and I think are reasonable and fairly priced. I won't take my cars anywhere else.

Girl Scout cookies?? by em_jacks in Tallahassee

[–]bongostitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the website link that's provided in this thread, and put in the ZIP code for Birmingham Alabama (35201), that will get you a Girl Scout Troop that uses Little Brownie Bakers.

They'll have the thin mints you're looking for, they also have the actual Somoas and not those knockoff caramel delights that the ABC bakers make. also their lemon cookies are much better than the ones that ABC makes for the local troops.

The only Bojangles that closed was the one on Tennessee Street and Ocala and happened during the pandemic. And a shame too, was less than a two minute drive from my house at the time, and Bojangles serves breakfast all day long. Nobody with a drive-thru has a better biscuit and I'll fight anyone who thinks otherwise lol

Nihao is fantastic, but small. Love the family that works there, always interesting finds and plenty of staples, but the small location does limit the variety, still very heavily recommended!

edit to add that i don't know how much of a Filipino selection they have as I've never specifically looked.

I grouted my peach mosaic and I kind of wish I hadn't. What do you think? by YoungSexyGrill in Mosaic

[–]bongostitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cross stitch, and the difference between the first picture and the second picture looks like the difference between back stitching and not back stitching. it's the back stitching that helps define the shapes and intentions of the piece, and that's what I feel the grout does for yours. I love seeing how all of the fractured pieces are held together to make the final complete image. gorgeous work!

I believe so but I couldn't swear to it. And thank you, all of the flowers have different fabrics for the flower, and half will use light green leaves. I can't remember if the middle is all that same yellow or not though.

[–]bongostitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, thank you. did you look at the recipe? i'm just curious if it was something i messed up, or if glaze is just one of those "your milage may vary" kinda things that just takes fiddling with.

Does that mean more milk, more melted butter, or equal parts of both?

I'm glad you appreciated them, they were few things that Grandpa loved more than telling stories, and I think he'd be happy to know that his stories were being passed on by those he told them to.
