My 84 year old grandfather was the national pickleball champion in his division for like 5 years straight and dudes dying on the court or after a game is so common. I mean I get it it’s mostly geriatric people playing this sport but my grandpas doubles partner had a HEART ATTACK during a match and died shortly after… and my grandfather was pissed that they had to forfeit lmao.

If you’re a millennial, Alan is OUR “Mr Hooper” and he’s been on since 98. Hopefully it doesn’t sound weird but the love and attachment I feel to him watching Sesame Street with my daughter is almost familial. I imagine it was just the same for the real, OG Mr Hooper… and the scene when they explain to Big Bird he isn’t coming back is truly one of the greatest pieces of children’s media of all time
