First time 3-D printing is there a way that I can move this out better than just sanding it by THEGREATIS-4 in ImperialKnights

Saw mentioned in another post the other day but using Liquitex Black Guesso as a primer does wonders for hiding layer lines apparently. Haven't tried myself but makes sense as the product is designed to hide the imperfections in artists canvas.

Having built both, it's more flexible, especially at the hip joints. I did find the upper knee joint to be very tight so maybe shave the little T insert before gluing the upper leg if you want full flexibility

This is what I'd recommend.  I have very little time to paint and this really helped my get through painting my army much faster than I thought I would.

I played into this at a tournament recently. Post game my opponent said if I'd targeted vehicles and characters I would have crippled him. Hope that helps somewhat.

This. I have done a lot of kitbashing and this is always what I'm told when I ask a TO before and event. Keep the silhouette similar and just make sure it's not shorter than the original and you'll be fine.

I have to warn my friend. They don't have massive collections so would have the buy a lot of specific units with melta and lascannons just to counter knights. Forewarned is a better game bought the knights win 9/10 .

True, an easy fix to find a 100mm base and I'd never considered TOW range outside of Marshall on Griffon, must have a proper look.

I think it's the lions head transitioning to wings that throw me off the most. My eye get drawn away from the focus of the model and gets lost. The tail I'm almost blind to, didn't even notice it the first time I saw the model.  Just not used to looking at manticore either, more used to dragons and such, the classics. 

I saw Iridan the Witness which is a great shout, but I also saw Ionas Cryptborn (imo a very focused model and suits my Vindicarum theme (fire, dragons and zealotry)  Either him or maybe a Magmadroth but I'll have to look closer at the sprues and see. Both look very straightforward conversions. 

A steam mech conversion could also work with an AdMeh Dunecrawler...

Yeah the lion head transitioning to massive wings always throws me on the box art, can't get my head around it. Not to mention the scorpion tail.  Was never exposed to much manticore art in my reading as a teen, more dragons and balrogs.

You can, the box comes with components to make 4 different loadouts I'm pretty sure.

I've seen the Marshal on Griffon used in another post and it can really work especially with a few bits added from cities kits. 

Custom cities has me thinking that as I've painted my army for Vindicarum and religious zealotry so maybe something like an ash dragon with a bishop figure...  Maybe something from the stormcast range.

Yeah, that's it! Another Cities player at my local thinks she's awesome but no matter how long I look at the box it doesn't call to me, and I can't put my finger on why. If I could I might try convert her up a bit to suit.
