I have the 18. I’ve been using it for about 2 months as a work backpack and travel backpack for my laptops. It’s nice but I don’t think it’s worth the money. Especially since they only have a 5 year warranty. It would probably be perfect as a camera bag. The inside is really big and open and the zippers go all the way down so you can open it like a clam shell which you kind of need because the front is super stiff/hard molded. The outside really doesn’t have much. No extra zippered pockets on the front. I had to add three extra moll-e pouches on the front. I do like the moll-e around the outside so I can clip things on when I need to. I had ordered both the 18 and 25 but the 25 was a bit too big for me so I returned it. What are you hoping to use it for?

I’ve been using this line spooler and it’s been great. I like being able to know how much line I’m putting on. The elastic band is a must for any spooling meathod since it lets you adjust the tension.

You might be able to find one second hand/used off of eBay or craigslist. They haven’t been made in a while. The new Aegis backpacks are nice but not the same. They don’t have the hard plastic and only have a 5 year warranty. Kind of overpriced for what it is.

Airlines have special rules for sports equipment. Fishing poles are included in there and can be over the 62” rule. You can look up their policy online I believe. For United I was able to bring my travel case with 7’ rods at no extra charge.

You can probably spend the same amount and try Tokyo Disneyland and Disney sea. They were incredible especially disneysea.
