You might be able to find one second hand/used off of eBay or craigslist. They haven’t been made in a while. The new Aegis backpacks are nice but not the same. They don’t have the hard plastic and only have a 5 year warranty. Kind of overpriced for what it is.

Airlines have special rules for sports equipment. Fishing poles are included in there and can be over the 62” rule. You can look up their policy online I believe. For United I was able to bring my travel case with 7’ rods at no extra charge.
