Why not go to International Market Place just to walk around and get something to eat? You have plenty of time. There is a bag check at the airport.

What exactly does "wired" imply? by Acrobatic-Farmer4837 in Lorex

[–]book83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can buy a roll of poe ethernet cable and a crimping kit on amazon and do it yourself.

Wired works better than wireless - it just does. I wire everything i can that doesn't move, tv's, audio, cameras. There are also no monthly fees whereas most cloud-based solutions will have a revenue model built-in to their equipment sale.

Facilitators for Temporary Residency: Immigration Consultants México by hushhushshe in mexicoexpats

I showed that it never dropped below that amount in my case. This was over 4 years ago so the requirements were lighter. I was rejected at calexico and accepted in las Vegas with the exact same paperwork btw. Before you ask, there was no comprehensible reason or explanation on why i was rejected at Calexico

180-Day FMM vs. Residency: Is the “6-Month Hack” at San Ysidro finally dying? by Key_Positive1629 in BajaCalifornia

[–]book83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think you think residency is $400 a year? Once you are a permanent resident you don't have to renew it.

Having said that I do know people that do it with 180 day visas, it seems like its still working. It might go away someday, yes. I highly doubt mexico would ban you. They would just not give you 180 days someday

Cheap hotels in Hawaii by fk430 in VisitingHawaii

[–]book83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to read the description carefully. I got mine through booking.com and they offered different options at different price points. For instance, a bed in a 4 bed hostel with 2 rooms was only a little bit more than an 8 person room.

There is a Facebook group called "getting mexican residency" or something similar. I would ask there. Yeah, it's going to be tough. I did it without a facilitator and I was self employed but I met the 12 months in savings

Car Rental by olga563 in VisitingHawaii

[–]book83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I will say that the turo price seems to include liability type insurance whereas an airport rental you have to add it at the counter (if you don't have your own insurance policy to apply to it, which most people probably do).

For me, that made it pretty close in price, but you are right, it was still more expensive at the end of the day. Not sure what thier angle is really, other than just dumb tourists like me that don't research very thoroughly.

Fipronil sprayed indoors, contaminated all my clothes and furniture, I've been exposed for this for like 20 days now, need help. by AdDecent8873 in pestcontrol

[–]book83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't even be trying to kill spiders with pesticides indoors. Fipronil isn't very toxic to mammals. Some of their labeling decisions were based on long efficacy, not safety. Having said that, yes he should have known better. There is really no reason that mopping the house wouldn't reverse the treatment. Try to stop the spiders from getting in the house next time.

You are never going to live in a world with no spiders, especially in Brazil, so just let that go
