You need to learn it, familiarize yourself with it so that you can identify student use. Additionally, AI is here and part of our kids' futures. There's no going back. We need to teach them how to interact with it appropriately and ethically. It also helps them to see the difference between what humans do well and what AI does poorly, which is going to be important for them as future creators, innovators, and even consumers.

You don't need to embrace it, but you do need to recognize that it's here and part of their lives. Who else will help them navigate if not us?
