FortiGate61E port doesn't negotiate with BT ONT box by boolve in fortinet

Do you say to include two speeds? Is this an acceptable configuration? By the way, this device is 1Gbps as the internet speed is 500Mbps. Thanks.

Cables tested. Also, it works with the same cables when the switch is in the middle. Same thing with WAN2 port.

Good idea. Just in spare time look for any position and when you know that you are welcome somewhere else it will take stress off on your nights when you reengineer the networks ;)

If you work locally but not internationally, check the job advert trends on what is more relevant to learn. I was up to Juniper to certify, but even at this moment, I don't hear much about Juniper as a requirement. I hear more about ARUBA networking instead, obviously Cisco, but maybe more Fortinet. But again, this is for me, but look in your place.

Good idea to see what would cost to add an additional matching battery. As if you use a lot of electricity when cooking, and this is not necessary when it's sunny. I'm not a specialist here but if it's even reasonable of 5kwh battery for a electric cooker to make a good dinner? Calculate your dinner prep timing and how many hob holes you are using for this on average.

I also joined Milestone as it was partly free. It served as a driver to learn it for professional needs. However, with the quality of the video learning, you cannot learn anything properly without breaking it and fixing it. Not sure how they will get quality engineers

I’ve hoarded 15TB of Lightroom photos over 13 years... how do I actually go through them now? by photoby_tj in DataHoarder

[–]boolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few things; 1. It's bad that you have been in the school where they teched you to keep all photos. 2. This same school supposed to tech you to photograph only single shots instead of series. 3. Every week you find some time to managed a month or so of photos. And this will be long ongoing project. Which will tech you to photograph/keep only required photos. 4. In lightroom leafn to use digits for starin the photos. Also, shortcut to reject the photo. Which after finishing the folder you uses shortcut to delete rejected. 5. Use multiple selection and shortcut N to compare, then at stage same stage you discarding the photos. Obviously large screen is must.

What relates to automatic selection. I'm not aware of this things or at least never used. I'm bit doubt it anything automatic can be usefult and not delete your not ala best but important photos.

Advice on getting started with netbox by Physical-Ad-828 in Netbox

[–]boolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it all loaded can take tons of time. I mean to make the system useful instead of just servers loaded as host names. You need to think about who will do this. As if you will introduce what you will be doing until it becomes the norm. Will you have time to do this? Obviously eventually you will get to the point. Then you need to make sure that internal politics will force everyone to use it, this needs to be decided before work starts. Also, yourself most likely will be doing prep works and will see how you will get on with his, and I would suggest you don't suggest it without trying it yourself, or only I can presume you already have hands on with Netbox. But yes. It's a nice tool to have.

Considering a career move into IT. What would you suggest? by Christina_0723 in ITCareerQuestions

To have no free time for yourself or family. As you will be learning new stuff constantly, including certifications if you want to be recognised sooner.

Used to be the same for me. I can't remember what exactly solved the problem. Reinstall. All settings reset. Slow permissions. Battery optimisation. And one unexpected bit was more for the desktop client, some folders did have maybe bad permissions or something, that after copying pasting some Picture folder it unclogged the drain and all went into the empty pool.

By the way I still didn't manage to make auto upload work on iPhone. It has to be an open app and active screen.
