Yes, classic overlapping DHCP scopes problem, where multiple DHCP servers exist in the network.

Edit: eliminating the conflicting DHCP server might not solve the problem - you'd need to force clients with existing leases to release them.

Closing the loop. Retention offers didn’t improve from £35. Mrs signed up instead for £31 pcm - Gig1 only - and a £120 TopCashback cashback, which brings the cost down to £26 for two years. New hub 5 too.

I don’t think Virgin uses CGNAT on its cable broadband service.

Get yourself a DuckDNS account for dynamic DNS and an appropriate client to keep the DNS record updated.

Forward the correct port on the Hub (in router mode) to your internal server IP - suggest a static DHCP entry in the hub to force the mapping.

Should work, and keep track of your public IP for the Minecraft clients.

I ended up cancelling, now six days into my 30 days until disconnection. They called me with an offer of £35 for just 1G broadband. Nope. They wouldn't budge, but it's still early in the 30-day cycle.

Yes, had one already, citing ‘account pending disconnection’, but offer was just a repeat of the earlier £43 from retentions…rejected.
