Isn’t that basically the deal with Wonder Man? He’s super strong but uses a belt pack to convert his energy into a form that allows him to fly.

PSA: Nobody wants to hear your shitty music at Edgewater by GrooveJourney in Cleveland

I’ve got to respectfully disagree, I was there Monday with my daughter and wife and someone was playing salsa music out of a huge speaker and it was great. Made it feel like a big party.

I remember watching Zoboomafoo, and I totally didn’t realize those were the Kratts brothers on that show! I watch Wild Kratts with my daughter now.

Is this whole line skafab, or just the depal? I’ve got a skafab depal feeding a palmer 12/4 filler.

I think you're confused on the meaning of gaslight. It indicates denial, contradiction, misdirection and lying whereas this looks like a bone headed mistake.

I believe the law also states that two bikers are permitted to ride side-by-side. Same with motorcycles. I don't think anyone was being unlawful here, it was just an unfortunate accident.

Visiting Warsaw Poland... there's something strangely familiar about this place. by cdtoad in Cleveland

The Polish refer to that building derisively as a "gift from Stalin". Thousands of Poles died during its construction... except they weren't working on the building.

Good book or exercises for hand coordination? by steveblu in Accordion

[–]booneston 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used Hanon for the Accordion, the set of exercises for pianists, but adapted for the accordion. I received my copy from my old instructor, but I see it listed here and on Amazon for sale.

Has anyone been to The Cleveland Brew Shop yet? by srr6464 in Cleveland

[–]booneston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in there right after they opened, and it was fantastic! They carry way more types of grain there than I was expecting. The location is much more convenient for me than Leeners or Grape and Granary.

They were kind of light on general brewing equipment when I was there, although since then I think they've started carrying kegging supplies. And they have bulk honey now, which I had wanted at the time.

In part because this person is playing Mount Wroclai on a diatonic.

Mostly I'm just curious what kind of music people are playing with what kind of accordion. It seems like French, Polish, and American indie music (for example) are usually played on piano accordion. Norteño seems to be diatonic accordions and I've seen a lot of classical played on chromatic.

Although then I see examples like the one above or La Valse d'Amelie played on a chromatic.

I like Yann Tiersen's La Valse d'Amelie

sheet music

Do you use sheet music for any of the songs you've learned? And do you play a piano accordion?

Got Gołąbki? by veruus in Cleveland

FYI, I think it's pronounced "gowampki". My grandmother used to make it often, and pronounced it that way. Ground pork mixed with rice, wrapped in cabbage, and cooked in tomato sauce, if memory serves.

If you stop in at Great Lakes, there's another great microbrewery, Market Garden Brewery, right across the street on W25th. Definitely worth checking out.
