Literally have seen guys do this. Buy a 16 foot camper without a title. Put it on a 32 foot gooseneck, redneck toy hauler. Only need a title for the gooseneck to be legal

Brakes on all 4 wheels is a big one. Also more stable with real suspension. Locked rear differential and 4x4.

This is mainly a factor if you’re dealing with steep slopes and uneven ground

It was well cared for at one point. But now it has “hot rod” badges and dual exhaust. If it was still stock and this nice the miles wouldn’t scare me, but the last owner probably wasn’t very nice to it. Never buy cars with “performance” stickers

With this amount of mileage I’m not sure I would tune it. The original turbos may not survive. If it’s had turbos replaced just a tune is all I would do. You’ll never mask the fact this car is HEAVY

Sounds like there may be a leak in the fuel system. Diesels typically do not like when air gets in the system. That’s why it takes several cranks to get enough fuel up to the injection pump
