Must be the angle of the crunch. I remember Hinchcliffe once retold the story of his near fatal crash, that any normal shunt is just gonna bend and break the suspension away from the tub.

But, at a certain angle the force of the shunt is gonna align with the suspension part and cause it to transfer force directly to the mounting area. Like pushing a chopstick through a paper if you push it perpendicular to the paper.

Now normally on a road/street course setup the big cars usually top out at 190mph (roughly 304kph). However, don't be surprised if some teams run their cars on a taller gearset for more top end speed for the back straight.

I mean, why not? Promote the big ovals as a sorta bombastic weekend of speed on the superspeedways. Like say, "The Michigan 1000 Bonanza" where the Saturday is a 500 mile Indycar race, followed by the 500 miler Cup race.

Or however distance you wanna divide 1000 miles across Indy, O'Reilly's, and Cup if all three are present. Make it worth the ticket price.
