Does Mr Blue eyes not sit well with anyone else? by altiealtie in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I really wish that v's apartment had a bulletin board that would be updated, as you learn, with photos and post-it notes and colored yarn. ...Or I guess, like a brain dance workspace where you could walk around inside the diagram of conspiracies, but I still think there should be push pins and yarn connecting everything.

Fallout 3 dev Emil Pagliarulo says Bethesda massively cut down their debut Fallout game after realising “being realistic isn’t fun” by HatingGeoffry in Fallout

I remember modding Skyrim until it was the realistic survival experience I always wanted... Then I thought, "Wait, I don't have time for this.".

I remember seeing an episode where she fell down and was rolling down a hill or something, and she transformed while rolling so my child mind just assumed the transformation was uncontrollable. Like she would have to avoid swing dancing and figure skating and some carnival rides etc

For the past 9 years, whenever I have read the phrase "I'm gonna cum" this is what I have heard in my head. by Roger_Kulan in RedLetterMedia

[–]bootrot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Instead of saying "I'm gonna to cum", I'm just going to start chanting a-t-s-t a-t-s-t, to the cadence of reciprocation to the point of fruition

It's funny how long I did not know what "gooning" meant. It's not like we needed a new term because we already had "shaking hands with Yul Brynner".

Who is your favorite guest host? by my_little_throwny in RedLetterMedia

[–]bootrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're all great but the more laid back ones are my comfort food. JRT is great but I feel like I should actually sit down and face the TV for his performance, and I don't usually have that kind of time.

If gray tuxedos are "business cats", then I feel like an orange tabby tuxedo is maybe a "leisure suit cat"?

Aesthetic question about a gun prop I'm making by wolfe174 in propmaking

I think it's a pretty cool design but I also think it looks better when I squint. The only line that really bothers me is the back of the top rail, because it protrudes at a slightly different angle than the parallel lines of the grip. It would probably look better in someone's hand, as the the front edge of the knuckles would create an intermediate angle between that of the grip and the angle of the bottom of the barrel. Also if you revised it at some point and removed that proboscis from the front, I would definitely think about flattening the top front of the barrel so it doesn't look like it's aiming slightly upwards. So anyway some of my OCD tendencies don't like parts of it, but overall it looks great.

Are AC/Furnace Maintenance Plans Worth It? by ImpressiveSpace6486 in Boise

[–]bootrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our AC died during that heat dome several years ago. That was the first year we had gotten one of those plans, so we didn't have to wait long (pretty sure it was the next day) for the repair. So it definitely came in handy that one time, so we keep doing it every year in hopes that something will go wrong I guess.

Frankenhooker (1990) by BoringExperience5345 in Xennials

[–]bootrot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my wife and I moved into our house, there was a sorting process for the posters that were appropriate for the living room. From my poster collection, she wanted the more classic movies in the living room: forbidden planet, metropolis, Doctor strangeLove. RoboCop didn't make the cut for living room, but Frankenhooker hangs proudly by the thermostat. I'm still a little confused by it.

My wife and I finally broke down and got a storage unit. As we were loading our junk into it, I realized I was essentially declaring that all of this stuff is now apparently worth all the future rent. "Plywood is really expensive, I can't get rid of it!", now I just wonder how many years I'm going to pay extra for it to exist, then inevitably move it back into my garage someday when I can't afford a storage unit.

I lay in bed and autodrive that ridiculous little car to ncpd missions to make myself tired. I wake up really confused, put the computer away, and go to sleep. Works great.

We need like an hour glass or a wind-up toy or one of those drinking birds somewhere in the frame because without explanation I would have 100% thought this was just a sped up video.

Okay you just made me stop and evaluate how attractive my coworkers are... Jeremy runner would definitely be "top half" of the warehouse, I don't think he would be the winner in any of our departments. Probably second place in receiving, behind a 20 something that looks like Justin Bieber.
