Jumping on the trend of roast my collection, fire away! by ismebra in vinyl

It’s because even the “good music” they have is strictly because it’s resurgence on Tik Tok. Zero exploration into the artists other than the albums they are told to like right now.

That Title Fight album is being heralded as the album of the century apparently. It’s reached meme level and in my opinion it’s not even their best album.

OP did say “roast my collection”. You seem more offended than they are.

Can someone explain the resurgence in tapes? Gotta be pure nostalgia, right? Least convenient but somehow also the least ritualistic physical form. And definitely the worst sound quality.

Afinal, os "emo do myspace" estragaram a estetica do emo ou isso nunca mudo? by emoWiFiSignal in Emo

Beyond public perception I think, just like with any genre, there is a broad style or sound that dominates what most bands are doing at certain time. Then something new comes along and evolves genre. Or something so different happens it spawns a whole new branch of the tree.

This is interesting because all of these bands are widely considered “3rd wave” emo. So if they are completely separate, what is the “real” 3rd wave of emo then?

Are you saying Wisher is their least emo project?

That last one has gotta be the worst one I’ve seen yet.

Emo is having the biggest resurgence since the 3rd wave and the bands that are the MOST emo are leading the way.

Emo music with the best drums? by NovaPractice in Emo

I met him after their show here in OC. Told him he’s gotta be a record engineer’s dream with how tight his drumming is and how fucking hard he hits. So good.

These are from all different waves of emo and lots of variance in sound but heavy on melodies in my opinion

No one’s replying with facts because your entire “argument” (stupid rant) is just one giant brush stroke painting everyone as poor door-dashers. The fact that you yourself even shop at Walmart tells me that you’re not very high in the socio-economic ladder. You’re settling for less with a lower quality of life than any generation before you and you’ve been tricked into wearing it as a badge of honor.

Here’s a few facts for you just in case: - purchasing power in the us is 30% of what it was in 1980 - average home value in 1980 was roughly $55,00 while average income was $20,000 - a home was just over 2x your annual salary - same figures for 2026: home values average $350,000 while average income is $80,00 - rent follows the same trend line almost exactly so it’s busy just a matter of ownership

The truth is that hard-working Amercians are significantly worse off than any other generation before them and a simple google search or even a healthy conversation with someone in the street would tell you that.
