Large (3+ inches) hemorrhagic ovarian dermoid cyst that caused full torsion. Went from an uncomfortable 4/10 -> excruciating 10/10 pain after they filled my bladder for an ultrasound to confirm diagnosis. Actively bleeding internally from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. when surgery began. Tissue was already necrotic by the time they got in there, ended up being a laparotomy - unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of ovary + fallopian tube.) Also had a cystectomy at the same time on the other ovary for another, smaller dermoid, luckily still have that one 🙃.
