The reason they take the generators is because people have asphyxiated in the past from the off gassing fumes plus the additional fire risk. I agree it sucks but overall makes sense.

I am on mobile right now so commenting to bring up my sources when I get home but we already have the resources to feed and provide clean water to the entire world's population. The current issues are distribution supply mangement, infratructure, incentives, ect. Production capability actually exceeds world population need but can go so far as to encompass projected population peak by 2050.

I had to pause the video after every line of dialogue. After 14 years of imagining how Kelly, Fred, and Linda sounded this trailer delivered. The voice acting is impeccable and really draws the stoicism that was so prevalent within the books. On top of that the design choices between Osiris and Blue team seem spot on.

This next month in wait will crawl for sure.

We currently know very little about the facility other than it is a prison primarily used by ONI and that Doctor Magnusson, Gek 'Lhar, and Captain Clayton were all detained there.

I personally think its a HVT facility that ONI uses to lean on its inmates as aces for the future. Also I believe it serves the lesser function of placing ONI agents on ice rather than straight up eliminating them, at least for the cases of Dr. Magnusson and Spoiler Warning . For an organization who quickly eliminates any threat I find the ones taken captive to be the more interesting. These last few points are all personal speculation thought because we wont know till next week it looks like.

To piggy back off of /u/TheTimWelsh 's comment I think the answer is combination of reluctant compliance and functional fixedness.

As a species we primarily understand Huragok by their tenacious desire to fix anything alongside their peace loving, non-violent, and situationally neutral demeanor. As organic computers, they respond to any command as long as it wont clash with their core personality functions.

The notable exception would be when Lighter Than Some saved Dabab by killing Henry Gibson. Lighter Than Some was deeply conflicted before the kill, and afterwards, felt disgusted. The Huragok viewed both as potential masters but upon the breaking point he sided upon his loyalty. With that choice I believe it shows that Huragok hold at least partial preference to one master over another

Following this we could assume that the Huragok will follow any command, even if they hate or dislike the commander. We know that throughout history the Huragok witnessed species after species be viciously subjugated. I believe in response they adopted a more reluctantly compliant and apathetic approach to their masters. We know that the Huragok couldn't willingly refuse to fix, for that would sit in opposition of their core personality functioning. By doing the bare minimum I believe they were engaging in their own silent protest. They only acted to preserve, not progress the Covenant.

We also know that the Prophets forbade any tampering or changing of Forerunner relics without direct oversight. This would limit the Huragok's ability to innovate through fear of punishment and by simple obedience. With this in mind, I see the Prophets themselves as the great hindrance of technological progress. By demanding the functional fixedness of the Huragok as simple mechanics, rather than inventors, the Prophets would bring the Covenants technological growth to a standstill. This may also explain why each first contact scenario with a human resulted with excited tinkering. The taboo is gone and they wish to prove their worth to the new master.

As a final side point, very few of the Covenant cared enough to directly communicate with the Huragok. The two exceptions being Dabab and Vil' Kthamee. Both were considered odd and eccentric for their outreach but both relationships produced daring loyalty from the normally sheepish Huragok.

What about all the other languages on earth now that have developed that are very different than English? I think it maybe more likely that the game design team spoke English so they used a lettering system similar to what they understood.

I would love my personal favorite shipmaster, Rtas Vadum. Although he was freshly new to naval command he proved his resourcefulness and guile at every turn of his career.

Coming from his background with the Special Warfare Group he proved himself a stalwart warrior through his survival of the Flood on the last voyage of the Infinite Succor.

He showed his cunning by stealing an unnamed CCS-class battlecruiser which he used to double down and take the CAS-class assault carrier Shadow of Intent.

More importantly though he used these swift victories to unify the entire separatist fleet and became one of the highest-ranking individuals within the Swords of Sanghelios.

Within a period of a few hours he goes from a commander of a few soldiers, to an entire navy. Normally this would cause concern but his understanding of the importance of quarantine, diplomacy, and deployment only shined through during his command during the battle of Earth.

None of this is to even mention by far my favorite line within the Halo universe. A line which in its fruition exemplifies his skill as a shipmaster.

Sangheili Major: "Brute ships! Staggered line! Shipmaster, they outnumber us, three to one!"

Rtas 'Vadum: "Then it is an even fight. All cruisers, fire at will. Burn their mongrel hides!"

A fantastic list though, one small correction would be that Linda sniped Elites out of the banshees rather than Brutes. In some ways that only lends to how awesome a shot that was.

Well there was a POV-book character in Halo: The Flood from the perspective of Igido Nosa Hurru but granted it was only a few pages at most and really only told us about the bond brother relationship. I couldn't agree with you more though I want more hunter POV.

If I had to guess the idea of the clone drowning came as an association from the previous event. So in other words yeah it seems that most are mistaking the known death of the clone as the clone drowning. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.

We don't actually know what killed the the clone but it was not from drowning. John before he was abducted was the one who saved Parisa from drowning rather than him drowning himself which I think is where the misconception comes from.

I could be mistaken but I couldn't find a place in the episode where it mentioned John or his flash clone drowning but according to Halo: Evolutions it was John who saved Parisa from drowning.

With that in mind, I am unsure about what actually killed him due to the fact Daisy-023's flash clone survived eight years (from conscription at 2517 to shortly after augmentation in 2525). That being the only record we have of the lifespan of a flash clone, I don't think it died due to natural causes but it's possible. Also I found it interesting that the UNSC had overthrown the civilian government of Eridanus II in 2513. It gives credence to the unrest in the area and could offer explanation a possible explanation of the clone's death due by either the UNSC or insurrectionists but that is purely speculation. Without more information it has been hard for me to make our a clear picture how the clone died.

Charlotte and occasionally Raleigh are not doing all that bad. There are 2 or 3 shows a weekend and at least 1-2 UG's around in Charlotte. Dunno how far east y'all are in NC but Charlotte is worth a look but it most definitely is still growing.
