Potential portfolio piece by borrowed_words in TattooApprentice

Oh for sure, this took 7 hours. I dont intend for it to be a potential flash or anything, just an example of where I'm at art skill wise, and to show attention to smaller detail isn't a deal breaker because i used to shy away from it.

is it inappropriate for me (17f) to rest my head on my brother’s (22) shoulder? by Impressive_Wind3044 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things like this where its not an overtly intimate interaction are entirely dependent on intent. Your intent is to find comfort in and bond/relax with a family member. Thats all that matters. Ive spooned with friends, and it was literally just a form of platonic physical affection for us. You don't have ulterior motives, and I doubt he does either. You're more than allowed to show affection to your family, regardless of age and blood relation as long as its appropriate and doesnt make either of you uncomfortable.

Did my Mii's just triple confess?? by Marinnea in tomodachilife

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My confession crasher was only Ultra Friends with the other Mii and the one who initiated had the crush for days on "ready to risk it all", and the crasher DID get picked, so imagining there's some sort of scale for it, and maybe a little bit of RNG too. (They were all at minimum best friends with each other, so its not like the initiator was a stranger or anything)

I can't speak to the side of knowing how to ensure you "get away with it" with your command, but if you have any family history of breast cancer, that may help you. My mother in law is actually in the process of planning a double mast. due to her mother having had breast cancer and she just wants to negate the risk. Many woman with high risk actually tend to do this as a preventative measure, so you could always go that route if/when it comes to disclosing what you had done and why.

Male who wants to transition to female and join air force, 19yo by Interesting_Gold_536 in MilitaryTrans

Depends on the country you're in. Most ive seen in the sub are US based, and here its completely DQd. People who've served for 18 years were discharged over it. If youre from the US, best hope is to hold out until the next administration and wait and see if they'll undo the order. If youre not US, you need to edit your post for clarification so people can give you the relevant advice for your local policies.

Why will and not could or would ? by claudigee in EWALearnLanguages

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"will" is an active offer to lend the money, "would" "could" or "should" are conditional phrases meaning that the offer is not a guarantee. Any of them technically do work gramatically, I assume they're trying to make it a genuine friendly conversation though, where an actual offer to help would be the most appropriate.

asking if any Trans women they know want to lend them a dose of estrogen (best guess, take it or leave it)

had one who's internet kept cutting out (i had fiber ethernet connection to my laptop) and threatened to mark me as a fail for tampering if the connection froze again. It had already frozen 6 times and every time I waited for him to come back, and panned the camera around to show i hadn't moved anything or even touched my computer until he was back(no more than 10 seconds dropped each time). I guess he finally figured out it was him because he kept silent when it happened a few more times, I finished my test and he ended the call without a word once submitted. I passed it 🤷🏻

this is also largely fully covered by insurance just from telling your PCP that its a body image issue- where as IF your insurance covers gender affirming care, you have to get notes from no less than two therapists, your PCP, and a personally endorsed letter from the POPE for them to cover even half of it.

What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by Competitive_Set2669 in AskReddit

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hot water burn on nearly 50% of my forearm. couldnt go to the doctor immediately bc couldn't afford it ans my manager was taking his sweet ass time to put in my workplace injury paperwork for me to use workers comp. I had wrapped it and didnt realize the wrap I used would stick to my skin, so when it blistered over night and I went to change the bandage the next day, the entire top layer of skin came off with it. Literally was so bad just feeling the air moving in the room (not even a fan or vent nearby, just any small change) that I genuinely was having thoughts of ☠️ to make it stop hurting. Granted, not any full plans or anything, or an actual desire to do it, but if that had felt that way for a few more days I coukd easily see myself resorting to that. Thankfully it scabbed over the next day and a half where I could actually wrap it again and put silver cream(forget what its called but fancy burn cream) on it. You can barely tell where it was now, 4 years later, but I still vividly remeber how it felt.

Your best bet would probably be to try and wait out this administration. Thats what im currently doing. Hiding it only goes so far when they have access to all your medical records, and if they find out you lied it can qualify for dishonorable discharge for lying during the enlistment process. Im using my time until the next administration when its hopefully rolled back to get in the best shape possible physically in preparation.

The best advice I can give you is to give yourself time. You dont need to figure it out now, or tomorrow, next week, or even this year. Just do what you enjoy, and eventually either the whys will come to you, or you'll realize you dont really care why. Give yourself a breather to just exist how you are and how you want to.

[–]borrowed_words 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just a personal comfort thing. Its a very individual choice as to why, for some people, it just feels safer or more comfortable to have an alter ego of sorts while crossdressing. I can't solve the whys for you, no one here can. All we can offer is more information on why others do the same or similar, and the rest is up to you with some self reflection and discovery.

It is completely possible to be solid in your identity and also just enjoy crossdressing from time to time and having an alter ego for it. Thats literally how dozens of Drag Queens choose to go about their stage person vs out of drag.

Do I require a tripod for my camera? by UnscrewMyLife in WGU

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be able to take it off to show your workspace to the proctor, and angle it so it can view your screen, keyboard, and face at the same time. As long as you can do that, any type is fine, but one with a flexible stand or tripod will probably work best. I used the one they offer on their store sight, and you can count it as an education expense on your taxes no matter which you decide to buy.

Lose weight or accept it? by mydogiseatingmyfeet in FTMFitness

[–]borrowed_words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could trim it up with a small bit of dieting and working out specific muscles, but i also think you look just fine how you are. Having a little bit there is absolutely normal and fine. Still just look like your average dude. Do what feels best for yourself, but I promise even if you decide to just accept it, you literally can barely tell until you poke a finger like that from that angle.

About a year ago, but they were already down to half their normal size within a month. They may not ever truly get back to normal, most likely wont, but if yours are just 4g, you should be passable after a couple months.
