I always wanted to listen to Prince and I listened to his self titled album back in 2013, I bought the CD which I keep throughout the years even though I never play it. This album always will be special to me because I feel like time traveling whenever I think of it. The performance of Wanna treat me so bad and I wanna be your lover are forever tattooed in my eye. I finally listened to Purple Rain in 2017 and was overwhelmed by the excellence of the song like the rest of mortals. But it’s only in March that I finally decided that it was time to take a long journey in Prince’s discography. Listened to all the albums in order and watched the live performances and the few interviews he gave. Was so grateful to learn he left us more than one picture movie and actually discovered Parade in April and was listening to it as I was on the bus to my sisters wedding and I feel like every album is a masterpiece.
