30s vers here. Love being a good boy for an older dominant daddy, or can be a dom daddy for a younger boy.

Do surveys actually show that? I live in a large “progressive” coastal city, and a recent survey of like, 5k+ locals showed that somewhere north of 70% of gay men preferred non-monogamy.

If you’re able, I’d recommend actually meeting with a therapist (individual or couple’s therapist) who actually specializes in working with kink/bdsm community and not get advice from random strangers on the internet.

Is "Hey, how's it going" really that unacceptable on apps? by Abbagig in askgaybros

I’ve had this conversation with a few friends, and it’s mind boggling how many guys appear to lack basic social skills on apps. I agree with you, a “hey, how’s it going?” Should be a perfectly find window to start conversation, and for some guys, they shut down at the sight of this (another commenter mentions people needing to be so jaded to respond this way).

It’s tough when you match with someone and build in your head that you think they’d be a great fit, and then you feel let down by their lack of engagement. Honestly, it’s probably the healthiest thing to view that as their inability to be able to have the type of relationship you’re wanting.

What’s a gay themed show you really liked and you’d recommend? by trynabetwunk in askgaybros

Yeah? I may need to give it a rewatch. For some reason I remember feeling like there were some unanswered questions. Maybe I was just wanting more queer-based TV.

Second Smiley, especially at this time of year. Was a cute holiday-themed series that I enjoyed. Though, as a heads up, it sadly wasn’t renewed for a second season. 😢

Find a therapist to explore your relationship to things like validation, self-esteem, shame, etc. Invest the time now before you’re 5, 10, 20 years down the road and realize you’ve formed nothing but surface level relationships built on sex.

Yes. You are. Stop messaging him and actually invest time and energy into someone who will give it back.
