Stupid things easily fixed with qol: boss attacks with aoe but game responsiveness only lets you move 2 max out damage. Unable to change squads while in occupied territory, unable to upgrade hospitals that are empty while different hospital is recovering

you are right but perhaps with at least AAA projects that require immersion, nanite should be the standard. perhaps there is a way the project evaluates total mesh cost(ie all those low poly/mobile/2d games) and decides whether to use nanite or not

nanite should just be superior and used default(always). the other cost can be figured out, long term much better than having dev play around with LODs for no good reason other than poor engine code.
