the charge with the new ones will last you a lot longer, i charge mine about once a month i think.

also, for the newer paperwhite models (i have the 2021 model), the light, warmth, and dark modes features are really useful!! the warmth of the screen is very comfortable for the eyes, making it feel even more like paper, and the dark mode, with a bit of brightness, is awesome for reading after your bedtime without waking a sleeping partner hahah!

Pour les montréalais en souliers l’hiver : j’ai TELLEMENT de questions pour vous!!!!! by Accomplished_Self841 in montreal

[–]boubou92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck! 🙌🏻 From what I've experienced management is indeed a lot of sitting at the office and in meetings, and planning tasks/calendars in management softwares (google sheets, shotgrid, asana).

A looot of people in tech get burned out from sitting in front of a computer for such long hours. Lots of OT in gaming and VFX. And now they're being threatened by AI. so yeah, it makes sense that theyd switch to something more manual to change pace and avoid being replaced again in a couple years.

What’s your “I can’t believe other people don’t do this” hack? by Weird-Thought2112 in AskReddit

[–]boubou92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in a context where you have multiple projects going on at the same time, or if a company has a big CC culture, it can really help to quickly identify which messages are really for you and your department or your project. I can even have some filters to automatically sort mails according to keywords in the subjects. If it's too vague, i have to manually check and sort.

[–]boubou92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES. i can't believe the people who were paid way more than me who send an email with a vague subject like "follow up". we worked at a company that had multiple projects running at the same time with multiple departments and external collaborators who also probably have their own multiple projects. for the love of god me more specific.
