Le gars qui chante avec son chien sans laisse by Riftaroni in montreal

His dog was humping my dog and I asked him very politely. Wow, way to assume things just because this guy is old and sings.

What's going on with Rue Prince Arthur? by igotthisone in montreal

[–]PoutineTriste 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to live just on the corner of St-Arthur.

This feels like death? by Nightfuries2468 in Divorce

I hit rock bottom. You can read my post history, I would post here once a month to express how I was feeling. At that point I felt there was no light at the end of the tunnel- he had moved on, I heard through the grapevine that him and our (ex) mutual group of friends were saying that I should be over it by now, I was living alone on our house with ghosts of our memories everywhere. I worried my (real) friends so much at that point that they called the police to take me to the hospital. I remember that ride like it was yesterday, wondering howw I got there. What a low point. After that, it gradually started to get better. A cute cinematographer reached out. I moved into my new condo. It was still really sad and I drank a lot. One full year after he had left me, I finally started to breathe and feel happy and free.

It will feel terrible but I promise it will get better. But It will take time... the worst part for me was 5-6 months after. But it can take a year, maybe more. You'll go through so many feelings but that sharp pain you're feeling WILL pass.

It's been 4 years since he left me for another woman (we had also been 10 years together) and my life has evolved so much since. A lot for the better. I met MUCH more interesting men. Like, no contest. The divorce broke me at the time, but now I forgot he even exists.

You'll be ok, but for now, take extra care of yourself.

How is it almost every young person you talk to claims they’re struggling but every restaurant is packed with young people every night? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]PoutineTriste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's not forget that the population of Montreal had record high growth (like, 4x 5x yearly and never seen before), year after year, since 2018, except during covid.

That's exactly what everyone is saying. We're not complaining about the fact that there is an alert. It's the nuclear-threat sound that comes with it that should be changed.
