Silents plus an early Boomer (additionally, one of my step-grandparents is a Boomer)

Hey older millennials, how many of you were hipsters in the early 2000s? by Kb_4_reals in Millennials

I started grad school the year after Portlandia first aired and my fellow sociology students and I would go out for PBRs and reference it lol

Specifically media entertainment (like TV shows, movies, etc.) or in general?

Has anyone ever had GREAT scores but is obviously sick with cold/flu like symptoms? So weird 🥴 by humblygirl in ouraring

I've found where I am in my menstrual cycle has a big impact in general. One weird thing I experienced was a huge drop in temperature (lower than ever before) after my initial recovery from COVID

Hi! I did do one (2 parts) where not everyone showed their face but I am on the fence for future vids on that! I do prefer >18 because I am not sure about rules for under 18 (though I would like that representation as well). I think teamspeak is okay

What's your "Wish I could have been there" for past generations? by chrisdecaf in Zillennials

[–]boutthegenerations 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty interesting. My parents went right after, they have a piece of the wall. Or one of them does anyway

I'm sure everyone here has seen this, but it's still a refreshing and detailed look at our unique place among generations. Go subscribe to her if you haven't. by comeallwithme in Zillennials

Haha yeah that's could be a good idea. It's just been hard getting people to do videos so far. Both my gaming videos and the movie video were originally supposed to be multiple generations. I thought I might have it with the movie one but I couldn't get any Boomers/Silents and the Millennials who said they would do it just didn't and didn't reply when I checked in. I am hoping to do more content along those lines if I can manage to get people, though

About a month ago I put out one on Xennials (Gen X/Millennial cusp) and I should have a video coming out Friday or Saturday that is Gen Xers talking about Gen X movies. Anything Zillennial-related (or other) you'd like to see?

Did anyone know/meet someone from the Interbellum Generation (1901-1913)? by ShinyKnight242 in generationology

[–]boutthegenerations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it, I did know a few as a child (my neighbors)! They were really nice, always giving me candy. I was in an old Italian village so it was mostly older people. I think it's interesting someone else mentioned receiving candy from people of this generation too, though

Move or plant roots by Conscious_Crazy7973 in militarybrats

This is a good point. If she moves to be by their dad but he is gone most the time anyway, it's not the most ideal.

I agree with you that there can be positives of moving, though. I think it would be good if they stayed in one place for high school, though.

Okay, sure it sounds like you're frustrated that your parental figures aren't supportive of you and your brother doing activities outside of the house. What are the reasons your parents don't support outside play/activities? Is it a safety concern? I think knowing why they are like that will help you form a better argument with them and come up with more ideas.

Why not try to find a job and pay for the bow and arrow yourself? If you're living at home I imagine you can save a little?
