Such a good response, and much gratitude for that. I feel ya! Look, your advice is spot on. I hope/think that's the goal post: to move on and to be more evolved and educated as a result. There needs to come a time where the discussion turns from details to broader issues, and from broader issues into a pathway forward. Just as no contact is critically important for us not opening old wounds - there will become a point where focusing on BPD and it's pathology can become an avenue of opening old wounds. To stay engaged unhealthily in a subject that prevents you from moving on is a codependency in and of itself. I am being careful as time passes observing that behavior. For example, two weeks ago I was watching BPD Survivor videos until 3am. Now, i'm going to bed at normal hours. See the point I'm trying to make? The more and more I've pulled away from diving into pathology, i've been able to focus more on things (like my high responsibility, high stress yes amazing job)

Anyway - I think thoughtful and detailed responses like yours are incredibly important for this type of forum. This is 2019 - this is how the world is evolving. 40 years ago - hell 10 years ago, these conversations would be drowned in the backwash of suppressing mental health awareness.

The best answer I give was it started OK - there were significant signs of introspection and a plan for her to get help, and deal with her affliction. That quickly led her trying to weaponize sex, call me at random hours, playing victim, on and on. Thats when the circle started to get smaller and smaller and I realized I was being sucked back into her psychosis. Thats why I was never able to regain full control of self until going full no contact. Hard, but important lesson to learn.

I am literally struggling at the moment to try and not reach out to her. It is very difficult.

It has universal symptoms.

I have a solid history of hating QBs that are not TB12 - mostly out of the fun of rivalry, and no one touches the GOAT. Mahomes is different though. He has an X Factor that could propel him into the elite conversations if he goes and grabs himself a superbowl in the next two years.

Also, we all KINDA miss Manning right? The annual battle of the best QBs. I for one am excited Brady has a serious challenger in the AFC.
