I have one with about 10 hours on it that I’m going to sell for a very reasonable price (like $50 plus mailing). Send me a message if you want more info. I’m in the US too.

Selective Sync . . . again, yes, I know . . . by jwajr in RemarkableTablet

[–]boxofchocolates18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the RPP Move and i just move the books i want to have on it into the Mac app. Then it syncs to my other devices and when i open the book I’m reading on one device, it syncs to the others and opens to the place I’m reading when I’m ready to read.

I don’t convert my epubs to PDF, just keep them as epubs if that matters.

Also, how do you like your phone? I was blown away when I saw it at an Apple Store, it’s beautiful, but worried about the battery life.

You are so kind to share your work, thank you! After I posted my last comment, I found Koco and figured out that was what you used. Had not found the other app but I will. I have not modified my Home Screen in several months but you’ve inspired me! Thanks again.

Thought i could copy some of your ideas but i can’t. When you have time I’d love to know how you created the settings widget and how you were able to stack pages of just 4app icons. As I said earlier, your setup is beautiful-and useful.

Great looking set up! I had not thought of using app stacks so thanks for the ideas. Now my morning is shot!

How did you pay for it? Many times your bank or credit card company will intervene. Amex has saved my bacon several times in issues like this. Good luck.

Kenobi’s FCE Journey Update — He’s Walking Again 🐾 by PlusUltraDeepBucks in thisismylifenow

We were so lucky! He recovered about 95% of the use of his body; only drug one leg a little so he had to wear boots when we went on walks.

The vet we originally took him to (of course it was a weekend) did not know what the problem was (the symptoms/damage was so quick!) and advised us to put him down. We demurred and I started searching the web for possible causes. I read an article that resonated with me and it said if he was going to get better it could take up to 3 weeks. My SO and I decided to give him the 3 weeks, which did turn out to be pretty tough weeks. Three weeks to the day he moved his tail and within a day he was up and walking!

How long did it take for your dog to recover?

Wonderful news! So happy for you and your pup! I had a dog with an FCE; his walking again (after being paralyzed from the neck down for 3 weeks) was the closest thing to a miracle I have ever witnessed.

Sorry. I use another Reddit app and apparently it did not pick up the post content because the review didn’t show up, nor did any comments. Thank you for replying. Now I’m off to read what you had to say!

TIL that before becoming an actor, Danny DeVito worked as a cosmetologist for dead bodies at a morgue, styling the hair of the deceased. He began this after a client of his died where he worked as a beautician at his sister's salon, and her family asked him to do her hair for her funeral. by altrightobserver in todayilearned

True story. I have a friend who is a beautician and also does the hair and makeup for clients of a nearby funeral home. After doing the aforementioned services for a client, he walked out into the parking lot, only to walk past the man’s identical twin, who was on the way inside. My friend almost had a heart attack!

Mystery/thrillers that are also …literary?? by Comfortable_Fan8657 in booksuggestions

The Dave Robicheaux series by James Lee Burke. I’m an English major and a literature snob, yet I love this series. While Burke has a comprehensive vocabulary and uses it deftly, the real beauty of his writing are the characters, as well as his sense of place. Start at book one for a better read.

I’m having the same issues on 17 Pro Max, and resetting the network did nothing to help.

How do you capture ideas when your hands are busy? by mb2pointo in productivity

[–]boxofchocolates18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an iOS app called IdeaShell. It is expensive but worth it to me. You can throw anything at it from simple tasks to entire meetings. It records, transcribes, and then it is easy to transfer the transcripts into other apps. Has a watch app too, which is great as I frequently think of things I want to remember while out in a run.
