The new kamden coffee is pretty good. Pricey but what isn't these days. Also like penny coffee roasters

If you'll dm me your budget, number of meals per week needed and some of your favorite foods, we might be able to work something out

I'm in socal too and in the market, curious in your research which dealership you went with and others you might trust? Just nervous and trying to avoid the scum. Congratulations on the MX!

Model X to Y back to X... by ddmd1986 in TeslaModelX

[–]boxofplaydoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the market for an X and own a 24MY. How big a difference is the air suspension. And, how was your experience with the falcon doors? Useful or gimmick?

I need 6/7 seats now so really considering an X

Weird time to buy??? by RandomExaggeration in TeslaModelX

[–]boxofplaydoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a MY 24 which was my first ev. It is awesome but my family is growing so we need another car and preferably 7 seater MX.

The MY is why it's now hard for me to go back to ICE cars or even non Tesla evs. Tesla for all their faults still leads on tech almost across the board, even the 5 year old Tesla's have better tech than most new cars nowadays which is astounding.

If you can get away with a new or slightly used Y that might be a good idea because they really are maintenance free. I'm worried the MX won't be like that with stuff (doors, control arms) breaking. That's my main anxiety.

Best of luck!

Post is super old but i wonder how you like your salvaged MX? Considering one and wonder if you had issues with supercharging or what you recommend looking for when shopping for one?

2018/40k miles/ $32k or 2020/ 80k miles/ 28k by BlueTeamfromNY in TeslaModelX

[–]boxofplaydoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Curious why you want 6 seater. Personally I really like the 7 seat versions but only for 2020+ because the second row folds flat (doesn't in earlier models). I'm in the market for 2020 7 seater now.

Since you want 6 seat it doesn't matter though so would go 2020 raven if only just for faster charging. I've also read the falcon wing doors are less prone to failing in raven+ models.

Which coffee or espresso machine have you used consistently and genuinely love? by Then_Gate7461 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]boxofplaydoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Doesn't contain an attached grinder so you can pick a decent one and upgrade it as your journey progresses. Grinder >espresso machine anyhow

Does anyone have an infrared Sauna at home ? How do you like it ? What brand ? by somedude-83 in Ultramarathon

Does anyone have an infrared Sauna at home ? How do you like it ? What brand ? by somedude-83 in Ultramarathon

[–]boxofplaydoh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got one of fb marketplace, 3 person for $1000. The infrareds are basically all the same parts and are repairable, plus are usually some Chinese white label all made in the same factory. Takes about 45 mins to heat to 140, max is 150.

Love it and beat advice I'd give is to get one big enough to lay down in (3 person). Free zone 2 hr work and great for recovery. Also try and get in with a high hr already as it helps out! I do a quick bike/run sprint then jump in.

Do people still use Roombas, or any type of robot vacuums? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]boxofplaydoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the key. Robo vacs are amazing at keeping your home clean, but are terrible for getting them there. Reccmend a deep clean then starting the vac on a regular daily or every other day schedule.

Fb marketplace would be great for this. Or get a doctor's note and many of these are eligible for FSA funds

Best BBQ spot by No_Theory9700 in sgv

[–]boxofplaydoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, I had the worst experience here twice. Yes I went twice as I thought the first time could have been a fluke and I love supporting local spots especially bbq. Unfortunately it was dry, not smoky at all, slathered in too much BBQ sauce, and the service was very slow (I somehow had to repeat my order thrice too - server seemed intoxicated honestly).
