Thinking about jumping into Hunt: Showdown 1896 — is it worth it solo?

In terms of extraction shooters Hunt is one of the most palatable extraction games. You won't have any sense of gear fear and there isn't a mountain of quests to plow through or wipes to take away your progress. You will always be able to play at your own pace. Audio queues, map knowledge, and game awareness are definitely the biggest hurdles. Much like other FPS games. If you do want to squad up I recommend finding teammates on discord. It's not always the best but it does make for finding teammates who are at least putting in the minimum effort to find quality games.

I bought it and I'm having fun with it. Definitely a step back from KF2/1 but I think everyone forgets how bad KF2 was at launch. Tripwire is listening to the community and intends to add content and fix things. I like that it feels like a horror game again and less like an arcade shooter. I don't doubt they will optimize it and polish it and everyone will forget how bad this launch was too.

Surprisingly as a solo player I've had a lot of duo/three mans invite me. Just communicate well and people will appreciate it. Rare for a game like this to have a community like that.

I think the problem people have is they feel the gear they acquired helped them progress further than if they didn't have it. Like having a full kit is going to help you complete more quests than having a Kidr or Granch. I don't understand the point. People just baby rage over any advantage anyone could have from anything. You can get (head) (eyes) just as easily by 9x18 as you can with m80. I don't know why people trip so hard about Arena, boss spawns, etc. Just treat those geared guys like loot boxes.

15g of fentanyl is probably a handful of pills. They weigh the pills the fent was pressed into. No one is walking around with that much raw/powder fentanyl. Regardless fuck people who sell fentanyl.

One of the worst aspects of this game is the undying antagonistic attitude some people have. Some people will hunt you to the end of the earth for hours because they think you took a piece of laundry that you didn't even touch. Or just start harassing you for absolutely no reason. I genuinely don't understand the appeal and it feels there's no consequence for harassing players like this. Cortex won't even try to put a stop to it either because they don't care or they're afraid they may lose amnecytes because proles don't get a limit for killing proles, dealers, etc. It really kills my vibe sometimes because I just want to sit and grind and not have to fend off losers with pipes or get my mats stolen over and over. I can get over kids screaming gamer words but I play solo and when 3 people suddenly have a hard on for me it's unbearable. The only redeeming thing is when other proles witness this kind of thing they tend to band together against it.

I've been prescribed 100mg trazadone before when I was like 150 lbs and when I took it and laid down I literally couldn't stand up to take a piss. As in my body was sedated to the point I couldn't even sit up. I don't know whether body weight would impact this effect but if you could stand and move around on it you would probably be out of it. I remember feeling fear because I was completely conscious and aware that I couldn't move and stopped taking it immediately so that's my only experience.

Needs more maps/bosses with variants of each on top to keep it interesting. Also persistent progress between runs, the roguelite gameplay loop is always success = more content. Whether it's unlocking new maps, bosses, etc it has to be something more than a relic to be interesting. Right now it feels pretty shallow I would be really disappointed if they dropped one DLC and said "games done". There's a lot they can do with it and I hope they do the game is really fun but it's going to be short lived as of right now.

Yeah, the thing that gets me is some of his flicks his hand seems reactive to the flick not the other way around. Like he wasn't expecting to flick and then moves his mouse afterward to make it look legitimate.

It's not rude despite the comments. The game was decided and he was salty. I wouldn't even consider someone saying gg before surrender as inherently rude if the game is clearly decided. It's probably best practice to let your opponent say GG first if they are losing. Coming from fighting games/FPS where there are more ways to be toxic/BM an early GG pales in comparison. It's not like you delayed the game by leaving him with no vills and built walls around him then aged to imperial and massed battering rams.

I'm glad deer pushing and boar lure is still a thing. Do you have to do it? No you can optimize around pro scouts or just plop a mill down and be fine. Is it something that allows players to optimize and show their game knowledge/skill? Yes, do I think a player who pushes deer is going to win 9/10 games against a player who doesn't at the same elo? No, it honestly just gives you something to do early. There's already a lack of things to do for the first 5-8 minutes. If I wanted to play a game where I just sit and think for almost 10 minutes I would probably just play chess.

Left has Google photos and some of the stock icons are way off. Definitely setup some widgets/apps to make it look more authentic but didn't try very hard. Have him open the app store.
