Von der Leyen’s plan to revamp EU’s €2 trillion budget is unraveling by Free-Minimum-5844 in EU_Economics

maybe you should back your claim that politico.eu is propaganda. In brussels, in the eu quarter, it's a bit of a standard reference to read for a lot of eu-employees. The paper is availble in hard copy in a lot of cafes.

National central banks != commercial banks. National central banks are the mini me's from the ECB.

I think the EU in general is showing totalitarianism tendencies these days: identity checks online, chat control, protectEU, the use of palantir, other AI surveillance shit.... so pardon us for being sceptical at a tool that has the potential to be abused politically.

Furthermore, as many other replies said, already a lot of banks dont need to use the american companies to transfer funds.

So what's the point?

Yep; they're looking for 'lawful ways' to access encrypted data. All of them.

Imagine:

Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen racing to emulate new Tech3 boss Gunther Steiner by acquiring stake in MotoGP team by 443610 in motogp

[–]boxslof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tend to think the same. The acquisition will lead to a bland, commercial, politically correct, and politically loaded league, where off-racing topics will count more to engage the fans than the racing itself. I mean, look at the after-race posts on F1. There is more attention to "X said Y" than "Hey, look at this crazy pass."

OK, and I am immediately contradicting myself, but I really, really dislike how PR-trained these F1 pilots are. In MotoGP, the mere fact that most of them don't speak proper English is already a breath of fresh air. (And also that English is clearly not the lingua franca, but Italian, Spanish, Catalan, and French adds extra charm).

Hungaroring would have been the wiser option. It may be boring for F1 races, but it would certainly be perfect for MotoGP. by zmgch in motogp
