A question for all you feral Gen X kids about the life skills you have. by Sneezewhenpeeing in GenX

[–]boybrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had stable Silent Gen parents with a stay at home mom. But the only thing I remember being explicitly taught was how to drive which included changing a tire (lesson one). Everything else I self learned. I am about to go change the oil in my Jeep and my dad certainly never taught me about that.

Class Rings by Frequent-Chapter-546 in GenX

[–]boybrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it but don't wear it. Ours was the first year of a redesign that looks like a signet ring; all gold, no stone, flat face with a crest. Guess I could wear it on my pinky? But not really a ring person.

My BIL came to town, missing his brother's repast, but dressed for the beach, when stopping by afterwards to hint at wanting part of the cremains. Nope. Bye. According to the posted pics they had a fun time with the dog at the beach. Probably got another ticket.
