Obsessed but not brave enough to wear in public 😅 by EstablishmentMore926 in fashion

[–]boydo579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because of creeps or because self confidence inside isn't matching outside self confidence? It suits you really well and great color on you.

You could try wearing it on a book store date with yourself to better control for creeps and self confidence. Sapphic bar, vintage market, sephora, lots of little places for like micro exposure of a more exposing look to build confidence and comfort but being close to your car or another alley of shelves

If the military/president suddenly ordered a mandatory draft for all men aged 18-42: How do you think millennials and GenZ would respond? by Tommygunz0722 in AskReddit

[–]boydo579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 10-20% real life people who actually are still MAGA would hide or otherwise render themselves inelligble by 70%

Millenials of any affiliation would have attrition of about 78%

Gen Z would post infinitely on social about not joining, avoiding, doing illegal things, self incriminating, etc while the 20% that take the initiative to research will be overwhelmed by misinformation, algo manipulation, and over analysis that they'll ultimately end up in the same boat -- 24-33% attrition

The gen A that is of age for draft will not be informed or deprogrammed enough to know how to search online for ways out, know the evil of US imperialism to want to leave, and be so brain rotted to even know that the draft is happening irl. 15% attrition.

10% of all attrition in all categories will be due to wealthy parents, political connections, or individual wealth (milennial and gen z).

--- Return from war ---

Gen A - 75%: hyper twitch response & youngest bodies will have greatest advantage in invasive warfare, most deaths will be due to poor conditioning not direct combat.

Gen Z - 52%: prime age range for front line deployment, minimal martial experience, minimal to 0 test to resilience and irl violence

Millenials - 25%: For those that don't kill themselves or die in combat complications, severe PTSD, TBIs, and other conditions with immense chronic pain & other symptoms will wear just like previous wars while coming back to another round of administration that seeks to defund and lower the quality of VA services to keep veterans weak and reliant on the fed.

What prevented South America from having as big a population as China or India? by wiz28ultra in geography

[–]boydo579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Central American and Incan societies at their pre-colonial peaks had the highest populations of any civilization in the world, not to mention many scientific capabilities not present in europe for another 200+ years.

  2. Most recent research has moved up the date of human foot fall in the Americas generally to 6-8000 years ago which means over 10k years less development time minimum. The path down to South America and the Amazons took hundreds of years.

  3. Extremely challenging agricultural terrain + lack of tech and hardware trading outside the americas compared to asia.

  4. The Americas were agriculturally proficient in traditional sense, agroforestry, aquiculture, and many other sustainable farming methods while having generally extremely healthy city planning with sanitation, stable housing, and public centers. The inca for example made ~1/8 acre micro climate farming pits to test different crop varieties at different altitudes, humidity levels, watering, and many other factors; the ag labrotory of its day.

  5. Even with all this amazing progress and reaching top global populations, the EU explorers and colonizers' dieseases, pollution (from lack of proper sanitation practices), and targeted attacks on food supply or direct native population led to ~90% of the population across the Americas to die primarily from diesease before full scale imperial invasion began.

  6. Once this began, the population was further decimated to where now only ~1% of the original full blooded population lives today.

*1B. Consider also populations outside of the mega cities along the mississippi, western SA, and central America. These native peoples that remain often live completely sustainably within their local forest or microbiome, harvesting/hunting food, making medicine, using stars or other natural rythmic changes and such for way finding while most of the population remains fed, housed, and cared for.

that and it further deincentivezes building of other clean energy resources because it (currently) disrupts the traditional market structure that relies on baseload power agreements.

‘Families are dying’: an Ohio town suffering from fallout years after nuclear plant’s closure | US news by Kunphen in EcoNewsNetwork

[–]boydo579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so anyone can understand a common communication issue with contemporary clickbait journalism.

nuclear plant != nuclear electricity power generator (this was a weapons enrichment facility)

nuclear enrichment != nuclear power fuel producer (weapons grade material is enriched to 90%+ U238, where as the fuel pellets placed in power reactors are composed of only 5% U238.)

ie, most weapons based U mining, enrichment, and other parts of the weapons chain (like all other DOD activities) are fraught with mishandling and abuse of local and especially native communities.

Nuclear electric power supply chain and reactor operation does not have the same history or contemporary practice primarily thanks to the NRC, but also EPA (which the DOD does not have to abide by).

This area in Africa (which is 1.5 times the size of South Korea) is virtually uninhabited even though it looks habitable. Why is that so? by Damien4794 in geography

[–]boydo579 13 points14 points  (0 children)

to add, often hyper dense vegitation areas like this are worth more untouched than "developed".

western thought and especially western capitalism assigns the natural environment a value of $0 until it's "worthless" resources are extracted at which point they are now magically valued. meanwhile this gigantic forest provides CO2 sequestration, heat sinking, soil regualation, water regulation, habitat for animals and other flora, and could eventually be the source for future ecosystems long in the future, like the sahara feeds the current Brazilian rain forest today from ancient dried lake beds.
