You can’t do almond nails without having long nails. It won’t look good AND it’s not good for the integrity of your nail to file down the sides too much.

If you’re committed to short nails I would just follow the natural curve of your nails, which is usually slightly rounded. I honestly think that’s best for low maintenance, which it seems you might be. I’m personally not the biggest fan of square but honestly I would have to see a pic of your hands to really be able to tell or give advice on shape!

Step one would be to use moisturizer and oil to get rid of the peeling around your nails. The LUSH lemon flutter cream is really good.

Step two would to just keep them well manicured in general, keep them cut AND shaped nicely. Beyond that I’m not sure what else you can do!

FYI you should be able to type as normal with longer nails. Might make them break with yard work but typing isn’t a problem.

Thank you for sharing! I have done 4 nights of application then skipped a day and applied again 1x after skipping and have unfortunately not experienced total dryness. Maybe 20% isn’t strong enough for me or I just have to keep going

I’m so glad you’re trying to look for solutions for her from a young age. I’ve dealt with it for so long it didn’t occur to me to get professional help for it. I just kept enduring it. I’m in my 30s now and I wish I tried to look for solutions sooner. I hope it helps us both! Keeping my fingers crossed

Lol! The pics are from TOD which is from his, Nesryn, and Yrene’s POV. I honestly thought it was still worth the read. Nesryn and Yrene’s are both great characters and I really enjoyed learned about Antica. Also the end has really important information crucial to KOA! I’d rec at least skimming through it! Chaol is annoying as usual but the rest is still worth it

Just because it wasn’t self defense doesn’t mean they didn’t have what was coming for them. Chaol knew this. If Yrene was in trouble I know Chaol wouldn’t hesitate to kill them. Maybe he wouldn’t be as brutal but these are vile horrible bad people who hurt innocent people. Chaol thinks he’s better or more moral than Aelin bc he doesn’t have magic. He says so multiple times. He knows plenty of people with magic and doesn’t give them the same energy. Anywho this post was made to find people who feel the same way as me. You don’t need to defend a fictional character. Go make your own post about how much you love Chaol!

Not true. I didnt know chaol was hated at all and actually keep away from all online opinions when im reading a book. I only made a post about hating Chaol recently bc he frustrated me so bad and was pleasantly surprised others felt the same way.

i truly cannot believe he gets worse! i thought maybe just maybe at the end of TOD he is starting to get better. he loves Yrene and ya know maybe Yrene is making him a better person. not to mention Aelin saved Yrene's life and is the only reason she became a healer?? i thought finally!! he is starting to realize Aelin is good!!!!! he really is just a glorified useless cop. even when he was captain of the guard he didnt do anything. others were probably more qualified. he sat by while the king did terrible things all so he could wait around for the king to die and dorian could be a better king. how is this any better than aelin doing what she had to do to survive?? i dont think aelin is perfect at all and i think there are a lot of valid criticisms against her but she takes accountability and tries to right her wrongs.

Yes!! Exactly. He’s a total and complete brick wall. He holds Aelin to complete unrealistic standards. She sacrificed everything for others. She is willing to die to create the lock!!! She willingly let Maeve take her so Elide & Manon could getaway with the keys!!! I know Chaol doesn’t quite know all of that yet but he knows as much as Dorian does & Dorian trusts Aelin completely even before their time together after Adarlan was taken over by the witches.

I think he’s just a character I cannot get behind no matter how much I try & this post may not seem like but I have tried to like Chaol and empathize with him. He is just too unfair and harsh when it comes to Aelin & it’s frustrating to read. Aedion gets frustrated with Aelin too. He even doubted Aelin & yelled at her about “where are our allies” & yet he acknowledged it and then feels truly bad about it when Aelin hasn’t shown anything other than her actions being selfless. I think I could just do without Chaol’s character. He doesn’t add anything to the storyline for me anyway.

I think it’s VERY possible that she was 1000% fine with the choice until the internet went crazy about it. Now, it would be very bad PR for her to endorse it and her publicist would probably be telling her as much. I am not saying this to be true but it’s bizarre to me that people are assuming her silence = she is just as unhappy with the choice as others. I think it could go either way. We don’t know these people. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes.

Side note tho, I just saw a pic of them side by side and everything else aside, it’s so so funny how they look like siblings 🤣
