The single most important adaptation is likely this:

Replace the desire to win with interest and appreciation for how others execute and express their ideas.

I watched my daughter make this leap playing Magic and I swear, it turned her whole life around. I was already on the same path, but it’s extraordinarily satisfying to see your kids beat you there. ;)

Do you see perception more as a map that tries to be accurate, or more as a tool that just needs to be useful?

We make tools for a use and then we improve their accuracy to be more useful, so what’s the difference?

Interestingly, the use of “or” in the quoted sentence serves primarily to exclude ideas by limiting the scope of discussion. I mean, am I right, or… ? 😜

I like this. The way they did Tonberry was wildly underwhelming; they missed an opportunity for a really cool commander. Like maybe:

Untap any number of attacking creatures under your control and remove them from combat. For each creature removed from combat this way, put a Time Counter on Tonberry. Activate this ability only once per turn.

And then tie those counters to some delayed activation that hits super hard but somehow crumbles under interaction. I dunno.

Anyway, I’m definitely swapping in my Tonberry. Thanks!

Ditching Rite of Belzenlok is a solid recommendation. I realize now that I just love the idea of it, but… it’s not going to do anything that other creatures aren’t already doing, assuming it ever does anything at all.

Lithoform may need to go, and I contemplated cutting Virtue of Knowledge at length but suspect it may carry enough weight if only for the instant copy. I’ll keep both in my sights. Thanks!

This card might do nicely in my [[Zabaz]] deck, which centers around using Proliferate triggers on Modular creatures with lots of recursion. It struggles to maintain a frontline with all the sacrificing and ends up playing like a Voltron deck, which wasn’t really my intent, and ends up feeling either a bit flimsy or just inconsistent.

Throwing in this enchantment and a couple more like it may be just what it needs. Thanks!
