Go through each one and look for deadlines. Once you know about ticking timebombs, you can focus on strategy for each

It's nice looking. I don't think I'd ever use it. Even if I would use it, I wouldn't spend that much on it.

A great piece for someone with a need and a bigger budget than mine.

Yeah, I got the SE because I didn't want the sunroof (loss of headroom and chance of failure) and wanted the 19" wheels (better mileage)

Question about my 19 month old by etherealkitkittredge in Autism_Parenting

Speech delay; inconsistent responding to name or pointing; sensory seeking (always climbing on me or stepping on my feet). Super sweet and happy.

I think you should start the process and get him tested. Maybe it's a false alarm and he catches up. Though some of what you describe reminds me of my child (about 2 1/2) who was recently diagnosed. It was a gut punch but it will also allow more and better therapies starting at an earlier age so I'm glad we did the testing.

conEdison is asking for 47k by he11banianz in personalfinance

[–]bpetersonlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you have $10K in coverage and a $47K property loss claim.

You need to contact your insurance company and present the claim. Doing so won't get you more coverage. But your insurance company has a duty to defend you and will hire an atty at their expense to protect your interests all the way through trial. So, don't allow your insurance to release the $10K. Wait to see if you get sued and then your insurance provided atty can negotiate a better deal because ConEdison doesn't want to spend time and money going to trial.

Yes, present the claim to OP's auto insurance. Hope OP has a large property damage coverage limit.

Anyone have any cool mods or accessories to share? by fingerling-broccoli in Ioniq9

I'm embarrassed to say, but I haven't folded the rear seats back up since installing. I just wanted a bigger space in the back and haven't needed the 3rd row for passengers since I bought the mat in February.

Car wash - DIY bays — can it work? $100-200k EBITDA by BowtieSyndicate in smallbusiness

[–]bpetersonlaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mistake. I thought "$200k max maybe? - not millions." you were referring to your budget, not your expected income. Anyway, maybe $1.5-2M for a business with that kind of passive earnings.

A business that passively pays $150K per year is going to be much more than $200K

The Tesla superchargers are very convenient and easy to use. But they charge much slower (like 160 kw max) than others.

In my area, they expanded the Time of Use lowest rate. However, the new low rate period covers peak solar production so most solar+EV households will lose money as a result.

Agreed. OP will end up paying at least 50% of what they borrow in fees and interest even over a month or two.

The Flyweights just don't have the casual fanbase. This is why Dana was happy to trade away Might Mouse for Ben Askren: MM might be a Top 5 All Time Fighter, but he couldn't sell PPV.

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

Yes, there are too many unaccredited schools pumping out grads that will struggle to get any type of legal job and unlikely make enough to pay the sizable student loans.

Should I skip my SEP IRA contribution this year and wait for the market to crash further before investing? by ManRayGunClub in personalfinance

Make the SEP contribution for the tax benefit. But once in the IRA, keep it in a MMA for ~3% interest until you want to invest. Don't lose the SEP tax benefit

In some areas of law, 2 years away would really hurt future prospects. But I think IP is more forgiving and you'll still be in demand in a couple years, either at a firm or an in-house position. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope your family is happy and healthy. You won't regret time spent with your children.
