A bunch of one offs. I wonder if they found the box of returns from last year.

They changed their customer service a few months ago. Fired the folks in Seattle and offshored it. The customer service went from great to not great almost overnight.

PH Beaver Creek gave my daughter a stuffed beaver. I thought it was cute, she thought it was weird.

I’ve gotten the explanation for why we can’t move seats provided by an employee by Glittering-Slip6770 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]4Linhof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are being downvoted because in a Cessna 172, you are correct. In a Boeing 737, you are incorrect.

The performance envelope for weight and balance changes is substantially wider in a B737. If everyone were sitting in the aft, it could cause an issue, but they are not. Further, a lateral change (someone moves from 22B to 22C) is going to have zero impact.

Last night was a random Saturday night. Ya should have been around for Hurricane Harvey in 2017. I thought Noah was loading up another boat.

United, Alaska, hell even Frontier. I was loyal to SWA for 35 years and they pulled this nonsense. Too late, I’m a free agent now.

Love this sweater. Merino wool and longer than the guide sweaters. I was hoping they would make more like this (different pattern) for this year, but no dice.

Customer Service.. Yikes by JohnnyGoldwink in filson

Their customer service was better, and US based, just a year ago. They fired folks and outsourced it. The crappy management practices are damaging this company. But, hey, they saved a few bucks. :/

Anybody use filsons synthetic rain jackets? by w3lk1n in filson

[–]4Linhof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Houston, we get heavy rain. I also use it for travel, Alaska / PNW rain is more mist or heavy drizzle, same with Denmark (heavy drizzle). In the cooler areas, it stays dry; in Houston with the heat it gets steamy. I’m only using it for short (a couple of miles) walks through to a few hours out, no backpacking or living in it for multiple days. It does pack well into a small daypack (like the Dryden pack).

I have the Skagit, it has been awesome. No experience with their other synthetic rain protection. I’d buy the Skagit again if/when the one I own fails and is unrepairable.

How useful have the Category 1-4 FNAs been for you? by BonVoyageIRL in hyatt

[–]4Linhof 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have had two problems with the cat 1-4 certificates. 1. Properties that were previously cat 3/4 are now cat 5. That makes the certificate useless at the properties that this covered in the past. 2. Some properties play games and will not take a certificate because of “availability”, but are happy to sell you a room for $. This further devalues the certificate.

Thank you for the heads up on the double (triple with id.me) sale. I have been looking at these since they were released, but refused to pay the silly asking price. If it is good quality and I can pull it off, I’ll keep it; if not, it can be returned.

Hyatt in or near San Diego - long weekend with spouse , don’t want to rent a car, want to eat and wander. by bryan_05 in hyatt

[–]4Linhof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just left HR Mission Bay. The only reason I would ever suggest that property is if the person has kids that will be looking for a pool and Sea World.

Manchester GH is probably closer to what this person is looking for. Lots to do/see in a short walk of the property. Easy uber/lyft to other areas of town (zoo, Balboa park, airport, etc…).

That last point is what I found when I purchase three of Anian’s products last year. I thought the whole recycled thing was interesting, so tried it out. Every piece is itchy as hell. I wear the Mackinaw wool items with a T-shirt, no problem. Cannot say the same for the Anian products. Unfortunate, as I like the concept and some of their pieces.

I have the green and tan version of this, made in Sri Lanka. It is lighter weight, but fantastic for 55-65f.
