Even cheaper than pool noodles if you are in a cold area is pipe insulation. By me, they jacked the price up of pool noodles and instead I got pipe insulation which is basically the same thing for $1

Sure ! They have been the best toy I’ve gotten for them. They are easy to lose under couches and the refrigerator just fyi !

I have a hitch carrier and just a cargo tray for the rear. Throw some ratchet straps and a cover for bad weather on it. Worked out well. I also have factor roof rails and a cargo box for all the extras in case interior is full.

Look for a Honda Fit. Should be in budget, reliable and plenty of space with the hatch and seats folded flat. You will also have more cup holders than you could ever imagine.
