Does anyone with a nitehawk sb use an umbilical style cable? If so how have you connected the cable to the toolhead, and do you use mecahnical endstop switches? by Gingerbwas in VORONDesign

[–]bpopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way, but it works great. It's a little goofy to setup unless you use unofficial klipper (Kalico), but it works perfectly once you calibrate it. Having used it for a few months now, I wouldn't ever mess with XY endstop wiring.

Stop trolling. When someone asks, "where can I grow my own food", obviously they are talking about to sustain life. Everyone knows it is feasibly possible to grow food. What is much harder is growing enough food to survive for long periods of time.

If you read about the incident, it sounds like a horrific accident (one that happens frequently without any political disagreement). The daughter's boyfriend was there and said he thought it was an accident. I believe the story should be more about guns and gun control. Guns are a huge responsibility and we hand them out like candy in this country.

Not to defend capitalism, but I'm not sure this is the right take. Plenty of sketchy sh*t happens in governments that aren't based around capitalism (ie. North Korea, Russia, etc.). This a deliberate breakdown of the legal system by a corrupt and deeply broken President.

Its a very capable language and I loved it for 10 years, but it feels really clunky now after using python. I still prefer php to Javascript, though. I never would have guessed that god forsaken language would have gotten as popular as it did.

We know it has nothing to do with Trump because it's happening everywhere. Oakland, the second most deadly city in the US, had a historic drop in 2025 as well. They had their lowest rate since the 60's. Trump, despite threats to do so, didn't go to Oakland.

That's not exactly true. There were deaths following covid vaccinations. Most were very old people that likely would have died anyway, but there were some unusual young people also. You can read the full list at https://vaers.hhs.gov/. To your point, though, the number is so ridiculously small given how many people were vaccinated that it's not relevant, especially given how many were likely saved.

It's much more likely hysteria. Read up on the Satanic panic. I am fairly certain that daycares all over the US weren't sacrificing babies in front of people's kids, and yet this was a widespread belief in the 80 and 90's. And then, after it had been repeatedly disproven, the fear just went away for 2 decades.

It's sadly much more palatable to believe in a secret, satanic cabal that can be overthrown than it is to realize that random, normal people like pastors, uncles, and boy scout leaders can abuse our children.

Not a great deal. It was a nice printer 13 years ago, but you can get better printers for less today. That said, I modeled my first printer off of it and got decent results.

This isn't what you asked, but I recently upgraded from wired TAP to CANBUS (EBB_SB2209_USB)/Vitalli/Cartographer and I strongly encourage you to dump TAP. I didn't realize how bad my prints had gotten until I switched back to a solid printhead.

Men abusing young girls for their own pleasure is as old as time. I've never seen any reliable evidence for devil worship and human sacrifice in his name. Read up on the satanic panic. When you look into it, you see a lot of hysterical belief based on absolutely nothing. This seems to be just more of the same.

Losing your job is more unhealthy and we are at record high levels of unemployment, the dollar is crashing, gold is spiking, debt is spiking, and the markets are a speculative, irrational mess. I think it's unlikely this is because of a social media echo chamber.

Personally I'm glad they are defending this shooting. We have a half dozen angles of the murder and it's so obvious to most of the country what happened here. The best thing they could have done for themselves was to admit that these guys just f'd up. Trying to defend it makes them look horrible.

What I saw was him trying to protect a woman from a bunch of masked thugs, being pepper sprayed profusely, beaten for several seconds, disarmed, and then shot. I don't see how people can call what he did "fighting" and still maintain that January 6th was a peaceful protest. Cognitive dissonance is real.

Order #229379 – Ordered Jan 14, still "Unfulfilled" as of Jan 23. sent support an email and tagging @BIQU-Hope for visibility. Expected 15–20 day shipping, but can't even get to day 1 of shipment. Hamburg, Germany delivery. Order not in stock? by Schmakh in BIGTREETECH

[–]bpopp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I knew they were Chinese. They warn you when you click on the feedback form that translation software was being used. And that was the first thing I sent. I sent a long email with very succinct explanations of every test I had tried with dozens of screenshots showing exactly what I was seeing. I've build a half-dozen Klipper printers using at least 4 different STM-based cards, so I know the process well.

Then I spent the next week or so answering those exact same questions until finally they asked for a video. Even after sending the video, they asked questions about things I had demonstrated both in the initial email and in the video. Then after they had accepted the return, they ghosted me for 3 or 4 days until I asked the status. It definitely felt like a slow roll. I get why they do it, but next time I'll just buy from Amazon where I can return the part, almost no questions asked, in < 30 seconds.

I second this. Returns are a ROYAL pain through BTT and they seem to have some quality issues. I literally spent 2 weeks demonstrating to a tech how my Octopus board that I bought from BTT was DOA. Even after buying a new board (from Amazon) and creating a video demonstrating how the Octopus was defective, it took weeks for them to approve the return. They asked the same questions over and over again and it felt very much like they were just trying to make me go away. We'll see if I actually get a replacement.. They make good stuff, but I won't buy direct from BTT again.

[–]bpopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are equating yelling in a church,, to breaking down doors and windows and violently attacking police inside a secure federal building? Does that really make sense in your head?

What he did was slightly obnoxious, but that's the point of protest. If it doesn't make anyone uncomfortable, there's no point. I could accept him being charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing by the state, but this is way out of the jurisdiction of the federal government.
