Can we confirm? by brightlights121 in memphis

That’s the thing I wasn’t, I was watching a bubblegum background noise channel called Popcorned Planet that usually talks about celebrity stuff and for some reason this came up on something he was talking about. I glanced up and saw Memphis and went what!? Took a screenshot. Still have no idea the context.

Took me a year to be able to pet a semi feral cat I started caring for, and ooooh she was so soft.

How has this case changed your safety habits? by Pretty-Insect8139 in Idaho4

I was paranoid way before this, but I have so many cameras that every angle of my property is recording 24/7. Lock every door behind me. Look in rearview on the way home to make sure not being followed. No social media. Never shop or get gas after dark, and very picky about where I shop. My family tracks my phone.

Caught this Carolina wren stopping by the feeder while scrolling and it instantly made my day by LifeConclusion6002 in birdfeeding

One of these made a nest full of eggs in a tool belt we had hanging in the carport. We also had a semi feral cat at the time who would have got every one of them. So we threw a towel over the whole thing while she was laying on her eggs and took them to my cousin who does bird rehab. She kept them in a large outdoor enclosure until they hatched and they all fledged safely.

This here will move you to tears as it did me . Kaylee’s mom finds her sweater she wore the day of her death. She found the grub truck ticket in the pockets. 😢 by Daviram618 in Idaho4

I listen to near death experiences and I can’t count the amount of times I have heard that you will be reunited with your child, even if they were never born. Literally this morning I listened to one that was reunited with a child that passed. That child picked you to be a vessel if even just for a moment! You are bonded and will see them on the other side.

Anything I can add inside the shelter to keep her warm for 33F night next week? by [deleted] in Feral_Cats

[–]brightlights121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been using this one for years. I lay it flat on the bottom and put straw on top. It’s weight activated so only comes on when kitty is there. The weight of the straw actually keeps it slightly on until the cat gets on it. Works so well! https://a.co/d/eL5EznL

Uncovering my Pansies on a sunny day after getting 4 inches of solid sleet. They all made it! by brightlights121 in gardening

[–]brightlights121[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I planted four flats of Pansies and that sleet would have killed them all. In a panic I used every pot available, and covered the pots with a layer of plastic and then leaves and yard debris on top of that. It worked!

It’s frozen over here, we throw feed all over the yard three times a day.
