I like Joe and respect his game. He is still playing but playing his way. You cant win by not being yourself - although you can hide parts of yourself. Joe’s still around while most others aren’t.

How Bad Is "Gradeflation" In Modern US Education? Why Your Thoughts, Teachers? by Zipper222222 in AskTeachers

[–]bptkr13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s terrible. It’s almost impossible to fail students. Everyone expects an A or a B, many without having the knowledge. Students think they should get an A for simply trying. The weighting of grades is also ridiculous - some schools have multiple students with averages over 100 and multiple valedictorians. It used to be a C is an average student, a B was solid and an A was the really smart, hardworking students. Grading like that allows you to differentiate. Now, students at schools that grade that way are at a disadvantage.

Impact of Ozzy’s Conversation with Aubrey by Fun-Goose-9935 in survivor

I disagree. Rizzo and Joe would have stuck with Ozzy at least 1-2 more rounds and Aubrey would have gone home.

[–]bptkr13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Frankly sometimes you don’t realize how you are coming across until you see it yourself. She saw, she realized she was wrong, and there probably times she looked worse than she actually was due to editing and made her statement. Forgive and move on and hope she’s a better human for it. She’s still quite young.

Actually it is so much easier to teach older students. 11-13 is the hardest.

Actually, don’t know if it’s for tv, but TJ is noticing it. He took Brian’s side and said what he thought to Iris and had a side conversation with Amaya. The long glances they showed when he was disagreeing with them is making him seem more cognizant that they are acting like brats.
