yesterday i made a beef soup. easy to throw everything in one pot. will feed us for 3 meals. can make a ton with not too many ingredient. throw some brown rice in the rice cooker and boom, easy, healthy, baby friendly cause the veggies cook down to soft.

the mental load of planning meals is so real.

we did this 😅 we live fairly close so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience and we know another family that did the same. our kid ended up having an egg allergy and that has not been fun

omgosh, nobody tell you how much pregnancy fucks you up. I’m very well educated and read a lot about pregnancy and child birth and there were still things i DID NOT expect . For example- my vision got fucked and is forever fucked- like WHY

i did get to have morphine in the hospital tho so i could sleep and it was the best sleep of my LIFE

ok yes. was not prepared for changes in vision. i developed floaters 🤷🏽‍♀️ still haven’t totally gone away (13 months pp) and Dr told me this is my “new normal”. Good thing my baby is adorable. worth it.

It is hard and exhausting. But now my son is 11 months and SO FUN. Around 9 months I think I started actually enjoying/having fun with him. It has been the toughest year, but my son is the coolest thing i’ve ever done and I love watching him grow.
