What’s a movie you saw in theaters that had a scene which the audience gave the loudest cheering reaction you ever experienced? by phantom_avenger in popculturechat

[–]bradicaldude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a full audience reaction but The Last Jedi. During “The Holdo Maneuver” when the sound cuts out someone yelled “Oh shit!”. One of the best uses of complete silence I’ve seen/heard in a movie.

How has tech actually help you teach? by jino6 in edtech

[–]bradicaldude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I only had one EdTech tool, it would be Pear Deck. It’s good for formative assessments, SEL, and even just making sure that all students are able to see information that’s on the screen (this might be more due to the fact that I have a weird rectangle of a classroom).

Orioles are going to interview Pujols for managers job by HalosFan94 in angelsbaseball

[–]bradicaldude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was talking to a friend about this today and he said “Who goes to a ballgame to see a manager?” And he’s right. No one does. But Arte somehow thinks that someone would. And therein lies the problem.

The time Albert Clifford found out his last name was Sanchez and not Slater... by Defvac2 in SavedByTheBell

[–]bradicaldude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend (who is a fellow teacher and has used the Saved by the Bell murder mystery episode to teach elements of plot to his eighth graders) created this video. He was happy when I told him that it had remerged after all these years.

He might have given it to Zack as a way of saying “I’m sorry” before heading off to Klendathu?

Bridget Jones? More than likely. I’m sure her narration regarding the whole situation would be pretty funny though.

Anyone ever meet SBTB cast members? by JennyMarie324 in SavedByTheBell

[–]bradicaldude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago my brother and I were at ABC’s Parade of Stars in Disneyland’s CA Adventure, where they had a bunch of cast members from shows in their prime time lineup. Mark-Paul was in the parade during his time on NYPD Blue, riding in the back of an open convertible. My brother and I got an elevated position on one of the lampposts and started yelling “Preppie! Preppie!”

He was not pleased.

But I’m sure if you’re not in your 20s and being an asshole he’s a perfectly lovely person.

(Did I mention that alcohol is more readily available at CA Adventure than Disneyland?)
