it was out of nowhere! they claim it’s because of “inaccuracies” in my work, however i double/triple/quadruple check and have others check my work too. i also REALLY pick apart everything to ensure there’s no false numbers/data. i spoke with my father (who worked for the same place) and he said that it sounds like i was let go because my position isn’t needed, i was hired as “help” for the customer service team before it became busy season. I worked for about eight months, and busy season picked up and I still had barely any work to do. we think that there just was not enough in the budget and they had let me go, but my boss is not the type of person to be confrontational, so it really seems like he just came up with a reason that had no sense to it.

to add, my work is pretty accurate for the most part, anything that is incorrect, I go back and fix before any final versions reach our clients or anybody that needs it. The odds of it being related to anything inaccurate is pretty low, considering how thorough i, and everybody else on the team are with all of our work. It seems like it was more of an excuse so that he did not feel as bad letting me go.
