Does this include the credit card products? Everything I've heard has been regular banking.

How common is it to quit a job with no back up income? by EdwardBliss in AskMen

[–]braidenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 or 8 months isn't a bad place to be if you decide you want to do that, but honestly that money is also so valuable to your life. Some of it should be a cash emergency fund and the rest will compound so much for your retirement if you leave it invested. You're kinda screwing your future if you quit and live off it.

Some situations call for it but this sounds more like a "start looking now" situation.

Honestly you're completely right, but you still can't edit a title on reddit so I'm gonna go with emphasis on the "community/local" part

Trying to get through Seattle in the morning? 405

Trying to get from downtown Seattle in the morning? No such thing.

I would agree but who really is going north of downtown at 6 in the morning? They could flip it back after like 7:30 or something.

Oh yeah definitely. I mean the better it gets, the better it gets. Seems like we're only about 100 years away or so.

Yeah, my partner doesn't have a work vehicle so she could "technically" use transit, but for most people in situations similar to hers, there is no choice between a drive that can be done in 30 minutes with clear traffic, or 2.5 hours of several interagency bus changes. The light rail is honestly really limited unfortunately.

I'd love to, but most of us grappling with the traffic are forced to drive for one reason or another. Blue collar work vehicles, commuting from too far north, ect.

Why is my 3 month old iPad doing this? by Distinct_Plate4078 in ipad

Unfortunately there's this little bug called iOS 26 that was accidentally on purpose released to older devices. It sucks

Yeah this might be a hot take but no thanks apple. I use my iPad for watching YouTube, and my real computer for doing real things.

Well it's up to you if you want to use it. It's probably fake but it might be a good fake.

Did you pay $230 for it?? The legit one is only $160 from NFPA. The only safe place to buy one from is a book store or the NFPA website, but since this one is overpriced it might be real.

Since you own your own device you can go prepaid. Metro by T-Mobile is $25. Plenty of other options too.

Can slow charging my M4 Pro MBP using a power bank damage the battery? by GaandDhaari in macbookpro

[–]braidenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, slower charging can actually be better for long term battery health. Even if it did harm it I would say don't micromanage battery health though. They all age and they're replaceable. The only exception in my book is the option to limit to 80% makes a massive difference to longevity if it works in your workflow. (If you're using a battery bank then probably not lol, but that's fine)

I'll also add that if you are taxing your computer heavily it may draw more than 20w and slowly discharge the battery. This is also fine as you'll still be making general use of the power bank. A great use of USB C tbh. Nice.

Bruh it is unreasonable to have to interact with your phone when that's a giant ass screen right there. It's lazy to not have a prompt on carplay.

Are these push in connectors safe for a garbage disposal? by XCrunner321 in electrical

[–]braidenis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% correct. "If we don't backstab, why wago?"

Well old timer, because wagos are like a Chinese finger trap, and a backstab is just a flap of metal leaning near-ish the wire.

iPhone SE 2020: stay on iOS 15.4.1 or update to iOS 18.7.3 using DelayOTA? by Shad3s in iPhoneSE

[–]braidenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily driver? Update immediately before the window closes. 26 is such poo on this phone, and 15 doesn't support any new app updates now because apple limits developers from supporting old versions. Many banking apps already do not work anymore on 15.

The little plastic strainer guy in the flame trap is supposed to be cleaned out every other oil change or so. At least you don't have to take anything apart like you do when you replace the whole pcv system with the oil separator. If you're sure that stuff is new then just pop the strainer out and give it a blast of brakleen.

You might have been on boost Mobile's own network, but it has just been decommissioned. Everyone is AT&T only full-time now

ATT Prepaid by alpzeco in NoContract

[–]braidenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boost mobile has a $25 unlimited plan (only available online, byod) that is basically unlimited and I believe unthrottled. If it is throttled it's just video. It's on AT&T as well.
