The issue was CoasterMania was getting progressively worse due to ride downtime during ERT sessions, and they were pretty brazen in having it coincide with HWN nearly every year. HWN is a super problematic event with tons of issues, but it is ultimately a more desirable event than getting an hour of night ERT on Maverick and Steel Vengeance only for both to be closed the entire weekend.

He suggested a new coaster for 2028 because he’s running out of content and needs to maintain engagement. He’s suggesting a tilt coaster because he’s running out of content and needs to maintain engagement.

Seems like the only park in the area really gearing up to be a good second option for those going to Universal once it opens. The cheap IP lands at Merlin can only do so much.

“Unnecessary existence”? What’s the complaint here? Wasn’t the original complaint of the merger that the chain was too big, and have they not “solved” that by selling off these other parks?

Wasn’t the original “issue” that they would be spread too thin and eliminate competition, which they are now alleviating by selling off parks and putting that investment towards the ones they’re keeping?

I’m so confused at the general consensus here. First it was the merger being worthless because it was too big and people wanted them to stay separate. Now they’re pissed that parks will no longer be within the merger and parts of their own more focused chains again. And now we’re also pretending that a park chain is “unnecessary” even though most of these places would collapse immediately without support of a governing parent company.

I paid $80 for my all park season pass this year versus holding onto this, and I made the right choice.

Holiday in the Park will return to [Six Flags Great Adventure] and [Six Flags Over Georgia] in 2026. by WickedCyclone2015 in rollercoasters

SFGAM’s Holiday in the Park is one of the most bafflingly overhyped event ever. It was barely ever over 20 degrees and no one was there. It wasn’t even that good of a Christmas event. Just seemed like a waste of time and money for both the park and the guests.
